Hey everyone,
Thank you for checking out this auction of the first-of-its-kind musical cart "A Winner is You". An insanely loud shout-out to K. Nakayama (CrunchyPixel), Shiru, Bunnyboy (RetroUSB), and Dain -- I truly appreciate all your help in making this become a dream come true. I'm honored to have shared in this project with you all.
There are only 10 LE copies available and all 10 copies are up for grabs. This is history in the making, since this will be the first full album of a "recorded audio" musical cart to hit the scene. This cart also has the biggest board to date. Specs: 64MB ROM with a custom UNROM-like mapper (4096 16k banks) -- and again, a first to have.
Please read this auction format carefully, since this will be unique from most auction-style formats. If you want to take part in this auction, you need to make sure you've joined NintendoAge prior to this post. Here are the rules for the auction:
-You have unlimited bids
-You may NOT bid the same amount as somebody else
-You may only have ONE bid on the board per account
(<---- To clarify, this means you can't bid multiple times to hold multiple spots on the bidding board, but you can increase your bid at any time - as long at it abides by the "5 @ 5" rule; You don't need to wait until you're pushed off the bidding board)
-EARLY BIRD -- first 10 bids will make it on the board, whatever the amount. You set the bar.
-The "5 @ 5" rule -- (after the EARLY BIRD is met) You MUST raise the value of the 5th place bid by at least 5% for it to count (for example, if the 5th place bid is $200, then your bid must be at least $210)
-If you bid $500 or more, you are automatically guaranteed a cart. You may also select a number between 2 and 10 (first come, first served). At the end of the auction, the highest bidder amongst the $500+ range will also have the option of choosing cart number 1, instead of sticking with their original number. If the top bidder declines number 1, it will become available to the next highest and so on.
-In the event that all 10 bid spots are $500+, the auction will end early, allowing the highest bidder to select cart number 1 over the number they originally chose.
***Here are the amazing extras that will accompany this history-making cart***
-A sealed CIB "black box" copy of "A Winner is You" which includes a beautiful clear cart, fully colored 16-page manual, and a black RetroZone dust sleeve (box and cart numbered)
-Perler bead version of the attacking white Fender Stratocaster (hand numbered)
-An absolutely stunning (11" x 14") hand drawing poster print (also numbered) from the artist herself
-A CD version of the soundtrack with similar "black box" art (currently available at BandCamp)
-These will all be placed in an elegant cigar box; completely apropos for this marvelous occasion.
Here is the track listing found on the cart (**Mega Man Ukuele is exclusive to the LE cart**):
There were inquiries as to whether or not these can be signed. We can definitely sign (the artist and myself) any of the items you would like.
