I don't really think of those emulation collections as ports, myself. I don't recall if I've played that collection, but if it's well-emulated and the control scheme is well-implemented I'm sure it's good, though I personally find Marble Madness easier to play with a D-pad than a trackball. (I beat the arcade game in MAME using a mouse, though.)

I know the other games on it seemed well-emulated. I'm awful at Marble Madness, so I couldn't tell on that particular one.

I'm sure that a few people have scored this high, but this is the first 180k to appear on the internet AFAIK.

Most players who are good enough to get 180k are speed runners who don't play for score and that's why you don't see a lot of crazy scores out there.

I heard a rumor that this happened and I dismissed it as impossible. I am honestly floored that you pulled it off. Having played this game countless thousands of times I am super impressed.

At least now I don't feel the need to be the first to do it.

Yeah, all it took was breaking the black marble, one beginner race wand and then finally not choking in ultimate. My pb before this was 179,930 (didn't feel was worth posting in this thread) so I was getting close.

Thanks! I posted this thread December 2017 and I hada personal best of 179,400. It only took a year and a half to get 620 more points!

Getting closer to 181k. For this score I got wands in beginner and silly. This is the third time I've hit the 180s.
