For those who weren't here in the last hour, we were under a DoS (denial of service) attack that took our ColdFusion server down completely and probably slowed down some of our sister sites. I'm sorting through log files now to see if that provides any clues. This post will serve as a message that this may happen again, but I'm taking proactive steps to prevent it as much as humanly possible.

Man, I have no idea how you keep up with it sometimes. It's hard enough maintaining a site as large as this and dealing with security is just a whole nother level of work.

Just thought I'd help. Also, contact his local PD...I can look it up to be sure, but pretty sure he's in Dartmouth, NS. Of course, you're probably on that too. Frankly though, his actions ARE criminal, and need to be stopped, period.
