Yea mine had all the contents and I dont think it had ever been taken out of the box. It came from an old video store and I think they just rewrapped it because the plastic looked mighty new on it.

Im not sure who it was that opened theirs for Wiz's list.

your request has been granted... i would say this one on the bay is "factory" sealed, as much as a myriad can be factory sealed! still, i would be afraid that some other cart is inside!

thank you kind sir

Yes, I opened Caltron and Cheetahmen II and plenty of other mid-level rares for that list... the day I get a sealed SE I'll be sure to open that one too

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

Hmmm.   Well you could always win and not pay pending receipt of better pictures or in person pick up?  Kinda sneaky but he's not responding..

^ Yeah I agree with this as well. Whoever wins this needs to be very careful. I messaged the guy very early on in the auction (on January 5th) with this exact message: (excuse the eBay formatting)

Dear theoptimizer,

Hello! Just a couple of quick questions:

1. Is the box slightly crushed or sunken in on the sides? It appears to be but maybe that's just the glare off of the plastic.

2. Is the game Factory Sealed and unopened? I was unclear about this. Or did you just shrink wrap the box yourself?

Thanks!

- jonebone7

And he never responded. That's definitely shady to say the least...

I'll top that.   If I ever get a sealed SE, I'll give it to Wizard and he can open it.  Al = Insane x2.

Keep this thread in case I ever have to fulfill that promise.

One of only two boxes that I need. And I'm perfectly content not having it for that price
Will be fun to watch, though.

Not as momentous it was worth about $6 back then and I had several cases.

shit this is going nuts! I don't think this is a recorded number... but I believe this might be from a collector who used to come to the NWCGE events in Portland. Rick Weis used to know the guy pretty well... I think his name was Lane. He would always bring tons of sealed games to the events and sell them at $10.00 each, and it didn't matter what the title was... I was in cahoots with him for a while when I was into collecting hardcore... he was trying to get rid of all his excess stuff and was holding stuff for me if and when I was able to make it up to his place in WA. Then one day he disappeared and everyone involved with NWCGE have not been able to get a hold of him.... he told me personally that he owned every NES game CIB and this was not a guy to lie. I never did ask him about myriad... but I do recall that he lived in the Seattle area, so this very likely could be his auction. He never listed or tried to list on ebay so it would make sense that someone else would sell it for him.

Last I heard from Rick was that he was working things out with his wife and she didn't like video games.... maybe Rick has heard from him since I last talked with him n August up at the last gathering.
