Recently Ive become a huge sonic fan, I used to play the games on computer before I had any consoles, and now that I got sonic mega collection, I can re-experience some of my childhood favorites. It wasnt until recently that I finally got a copy of sonic adventure and sonic adventure 2, man those games are good, I didnt know sonic could be good in 3D. Now I look at all this crap that sega is dishing out, if they just used their same sonic adventure engine from 7 years ago they could make a great sonic game. My brother recently rented sonic on the ps3, my god, it was the biggest pile of garbage ive ever seen, its so sad to see something like that from a gaming icon. So anyways, how many of you are sonic fans, and whats your favorite (and least favorite) game?

Hell yeeeahz sonic is da shizz lol. I have sonic adventure 1 and 2 for dreamcast. Good times... good times... Both are AWSOME games! You gotta admit the chao are kickass lol. Gameplay and music ROCK!! Voice acting ... well... not so good . The genesis sonic games are fun too. Although the new sonic games bring shame too all those ring collecting hedgehogs out there.

By the way, Shadow the Hedgehog ... Horrible Game! That game blows eggman's balls!  Do not even bother playing it, I got ripped off thinking it might actually be good and bought it.

I just booted up a Genesis to test before I sell it, first time I've turned one on for probably 16 years. I owned one for 2 weeks when I was a kid...played Sonic until I was sick of it and flipped it to another friend.

Guess what I played this time I messed around with level one, and was done. Probably for another decade-and-a-half

If anyone needs a quick laugh they should rent the new sonic on ps3 or 360, I swear, me and my brother cracked up so many times, whether its really hillarious character anamations, tail's voice being a black woman, or sonic running through random loops for 2 minutes, and touching the controller will screw you up.

I was going to say that I "WAS" a Sonic fan. I really liked everything up to Sonic Adventure 2. Everything beyond that was pure garbage.

If you're a Sonic fan, you'll want to check out- Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, for the DS.

-In game graphics have a water color look, all hand drawn
-4 party members at a time
-Each character can do certain things ex: Tails can float over things (standard stuff)
-11 party members total - 7 known are Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Rouge, Shadow, Big the Cat
-Control done fully with stylus - think Hourglass
-Able to split party into teams at certain moments
-Rings are used as currency
-No random battles, see enemies on the field
-Turn based battles, choose commands for everyone in your party before they actually follow through. Want battles to be fast paced
-Elite Beat Agents style special attacks
-Team attacks (like Chrono Trigger)
-"Fatigue Points" instead of MP
-Choose which attributes to increase when you level up
-Purchase and level special attacks
-Bits of story - Sonic's on vacation from defeating Eggman 2 years ago. Gets a call from Tails that Knuckles has been kidnapped by a group called the Marauders, and that 6 chaos emeralds are missing. Eggman not the main villain. But Bioware wants to make him a creditable bad guy again. Something about a "twist" between Eggman and Sonic that goes back to the earlier games.
-2 acts - first takes place in standard Sonic areas. 2nd takes place in a darker world
-Remixed classic tunes
-"fully animated cut scenes"
-simple dialogue trees
-Side quests

I couldn't stand that one either.   It wasn't that it was ultra glitchy...  just not any fun to play.

I love Sonic too. My favorite game has th be the Sonic & Knuckles for the Genesis, you can plug in Sonic 1-3 in the top of the cartridge and play Knuckles in any of the other games, it's really cool.  The Sonic game on the PS3 is by far the worst game ever made ( which is expected, look what console it's on.)  Knuckles Chaotix for the 32X is a great game, but the best 2D sonic ever has to be Sonic CD on the Sega CD, if you have never played it i Highly recommend it, its worth it just to pick up a Sega CD to just play that game.

Forgot to add Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii, its an ok game, its fun to drive sonic like on excite bike, but the controls could use a little extra help, in all its not a bad game.

Well I unlocked the game "sonic 3 and knuckles" on mega collection, that is by far the best game, apparently sonic 3 and sonic and knucles were gonna be the same game but they ran out of time so they released it in 2 different parts, when put together in "sonic 3 and knuckles" the story makes sense, and you can play as tails when you get to the sonic and knucles part, and knucles in sonic 3.

I LOVE Sonic 3 + Knuckles myself. Plus, the lock on idea is an unholy amount of cool.

Speaking of modern titles, I do love Sonic 3 for GBA. 1 and 2 were ok, but 3 was Genesis good.

Never had the chance to play Sonic CD unfortunately. Maybe I'll emu it today.
