Same with the Special Edition. I don't think there's any difference between ME and SE game covers. The cover art and UPC info is exactly the same.

It would be great if we can start pulling these covers and popping them into a scanner and getting a full res scan and archived for future uses.

Why are Master Editions going for over $500 CAD on eBay!? Dammit I should have preordered one before it was too late.

EDIT: Nothing interactive other than touch screen to show a demo of hardware or software

You can lift up that long paper next to touch screen (it's a magnet), they will be adding the interactive elements shortly

I'm hoping Switch gets so many games I have no desire to try for a full set. I love the versatility of it, and I'm hoping it becomes another Nintendo DS in terms of library size rather than a Wii U!

Pretty solid console so far, 1-2 switch is definitely fun and quite obscure even by Nintendo standards. While it is fun with friends, it should have been the pack in game with the console. Jealous of you guys who got special editions of BoW!

If you interested in European releases - i could provide some information.
In European BotW Limited Edition - a small warning notice inside game case, only in French.
In standard European BotW - no inserts.

I've learnt from collecting for the Wii U that I'm only going to collect the first/second party games on release as it really isn't worth having a shit tonne of crappy games on your shelf that you're never going to open or play. I might pick up the odd obscure game every now and then if it looks interesting. If I ever decide to go for a full, it will be a couple of years after the Switch U is released.

Ah so those clips in the case were used for something after all. I thought Switch was going to be the first major console with absolutely no manuals with the games.

Just downloaded Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. I couldn't resist, I love shovel knight! It plays so smooth in handheld mode (haven't tried TV yet).

Does the Shovel Knight Treasure Trove come in physical or is it digital only? I didn't see many games in store when I was trying to buy this weekend.

Only digital which is a shame.  There are  only 5 retail releases (listed in the first post of this thread)

I sincerely hope they release these physically later as a package. The packaging for every other platform was a gesture of love to collectors.

Well, I now own three copies of Breath of the Wild...

I picked it up on Friday for the Wii U because I wanted to play it and all the switches were sold out. Played it with my girlfriend for about 6 hours on Friday night. Then on Saturday, Walmart had 3 switch consoles in stock, so I picked one up with BOTW. The switch version was noticeably smoother with better graphics.

Anyway, today I stopped again on my way home and the special edition was sitting there. So I grabbed that too, lol. I really wanted it, but now that I have a copy, I'm tempted to keep that one sealed for now. After that I stopped by Gamestop and picked up the last pro controller

I didn't see this posted yet but for the 5 games that are out right now, the only one to have an insert in the case is Skylanders Imaginators. It's just a folded little piece of paper talking about the figures or whatever

Just Dance, Bomberman, 1-2 Switch, and BotW (regular, SE, and ME) are all just the case, boxart, and game. No inserts

Interesting to note they aren't coming with anything inside at all now. I noticed a lot of 3DS games transitioned to a single square slip of paper over the last couple years. I'm not sure what the point of the tall box and art is at this point. Everything could be cart only or in a much smaller, but nicely designed, package.

They are in bigger cases because youd lose them if they were smaller. The cases arent that big as they are and fine. Make them smaller and whats the point of having a case at all? Youd lose them and they wouldnt look good on a shelf imo.

Down here in Australia, Zelda SE comes with an insert - a double sided fold out poster.
