Collecting the same extra life twice is forbidden for this contest and this score will be disqualified.  Regardless if you intentionally point racked or not, the rules state you can't recollect extra lives.  I may not have worded the rules specifically this way, but collecting the same extra life twice is akin to point racking because you will end up doing part of that same stage twice.  Your earlier score of 92,700 is still valid as long as the picture remains posted in your earlier post.

This stupid game refuses to let me hit 100k. I've had numerous runs in the high 80k range and several in the high 90ks,but no 100k. I know I won't even come close to winning this week,but all I want is damn 100k. This game and Battletoads are the 2 nes games that just really piss me off. Each programmer involved in both games should receive a punch in the groin and in the face followed by a skunk spray directly into their mouth.

Got past the first loop a few times, but always at the cost of a bunch of lives.  Stage 6 kept on cheating me!

I wish there was a fool proof way to keep enemies from spawning directly on top of your character.  That happened a lot on Stages 5 and 6.  Take the ghosts out of the game and it's actually not that hard.

I am still trying, and will keep for a few more hours, but I think that one will be it for me this time.
Hand nerves simple haven't healed enough, and keep failing at the worst moments possible.
Kudos to Logo to give me a hell of a run for my money on this one this time, though.

yes it is. Dissapointing i know. I have some troubles with adding text to the pictures.

A couple little tips for anyone looking to give it one more go, primarily looking at the bosses.

1)The unicorn (Cyclops) is easy to beat. Stand as far from it as you can, crouch, and throw a dagger or lance at it repeatedly. Run if necessary. When facing the two of them, kill the first by attacking it and having it come to you. It will jump over you, so turn as necessary. Kill the second same as the first.

2)The dragon can be tough. I recommend using the axe as it can take out many of the tail segments at once. The best way to attack is to jump away, and fire towards it at the same time. Other than that, good luck!

3)To beat Satan, DO NOT USE AN AXE!!! He is immune to it. Stay near a ladder, as he swoops down, climb down it a little. When he swoops back up, he won't go all the way to the ceiling, making him easier to dispatch.

4)To kill the final boss, USE THE SHIELD!!! Hit him between the two heads to deal damage.

I surpassed myself with Ghosts & Goblins this week, finally! Beated the first loop in only 2 lives, and was able to to rack my way in first stage with 6 lives left to start with. I've been able to pass that 2nd loop 2nd stage that used to always got me. Died at the Dragon boss in 3rd stage, I think I only needed one hit to kill him, which would have gave me an extra life + the one in stage 4, but no problem, this is a score I'm totally happy with!
