Thanks for checking out my thread. I've been wanting to make one for a while, but I don't usually have a whole lot of time and I make a pretty decent amount of deals/finds each week, usually. So let's give it a shot and hopefully I can keep this updated.

This one I just picked up a few hours ago. I saw it posted on Craigslist yesterday, with the generic title of "old Nintendo games", or something along the lines of that. It was up for 41 minutes, so I figured I missed it, but I emailed him and he said they're all still available. So here's what I got:

He was asking $5 a piece or $60 for all, so I said heck yeah I'll just take 'em all, since there's a few other decent games in there anyway. He was about an hour away and I asked if we could meet partway, but he couldn't. I said that's ok I'll still take them. I like traveling anyway I figured (except I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee gas guzzler, only bad part) and plus it's still an excellent deal. We agreed on 10AM this morning. I was really happy that after we agreed on a time he immediately took the listing down, since I couldn't pick it up that day. I was worried I'd get beat to it like the past 5 deals I had set up (damn 2nd shift job always messes things up). I asked in a seperate email before picking this up if he had any other games, and he said no just these. He said he bought them about 10 years ago, but never played them and never even ended up buying a Nintendo to play them on. So when I got there, I was kinda surprised to see it was a young kid, no more than 18 I'd say. For some reason I was expecting an older guy or even middle aged. So got there, paid him and was on my way. No real chit-chat or anything, just short and sweet. Pulled into a parking lot a little up the road to check the games out, and was very pleased with the condition of Panic Restaurant. A few of the games have writing on the front, but overall they're in good shape. Thanks for looking, check back soon.

Thanks guys! Sorry, but no thanks I'm not interested in trading it.

RegularGuy - same here! I've made trips just as far, if not farther for less. It's funny, my wife thinks it's nuts to travel that far for games. But then I have to explain and put it into perspective for her: we travel an hour to get to the casino just to LOSE $400! Lol. That usually does the trick.

^ Thanks dude. Yeah like I said, I couldn't believe when I saw it listed my heart skipped a beat and I couldn't email the guy fast enough! I guess it was my turn to score a nice deal after missing out on about 4-5 others in a row.

So, after working until 2 am Friday morning and not getting to bed until 430-5, I was up and out the door by 8 to hit up a somewhat local community yard sale. First one of the year that I know of around here, so was pretty excited. I also had a few side pickups planned too, which I like to try to do if I can in case I strike out at the yard sale. A guy emailed me Monday saying he had some n64 games. He gave me the list and I said I'd be interested, so we agreed to meet up today since I'd be out his way. Tried emailing him Thursday night and never heard anything back. Oh well, kinda bummed but whatever. I still had another deal for 7 Wii games, and I was to meet the lady at 830 and it was on my way to the sales anyway. So I text her when I get up to confirm I'll be there (she listed a bunch of games on Facebook on Wednesday and she promised to hold them for me). No answer. Tried again and nothing. So got to the meeting spot, waited a few minutes and text her again to tell her we can meet later if she wants I'll be in the area til about noon.

Off to the yard sales, not a good start to the morning. So we get there, and I've never been to this town before. It's really country-ish, and not many people are set up on Friday, unfortunately. And those that are seem to be older kinda outdoorsy types, not the kind to have many games. Hit up everything in about an hour or so, and didn't find much. Here's what I came up with:

- New & Sealed 20th anniversary Trivial Pursuit board game ($1)
- bag of new & used golf balls ($1) (usually golf about twice a week so these come in handy, especially for someone with a terrible right slice)

No games to be found at all. Not even crappy ps2 sports games or shitty Wii games. Only thing I saw was a Wii Fit board only for $5 (no thanks). Hit up a few more yard sales on the outskirts and picked up a few things (video games spotted finally!):

- Star Wars Republic Commando - Xbox - Complete ($3)
- 80's Mr. T Cabbage Patch-like doll ($.50)

I walked up and saw the Mr T on top of a big pile of stuffed toys and couldn't resist, it's too cool lol. After some research, can't find too much info on it and there's no tags or anything. From what I see, I think it's like a hand made doll, not made by a company or anything. I guess people made all different style ones. Need to do some more research then. Also, sorry for no pics I will post them up soon. I'm at work now and was going to hold off on posting, but I'm very bored.

As I was at the sales, the Wii lady texted me and apologized because her kid was sick all night and she didn't hear her alarm. So we agreed to meet at noon. Went to a few thrifts, found nothing and met up for the games. Here is what I got:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Party 8
New Super Mario Bros.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympics
Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympics
Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon
Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary

All games are complete and in excellent condition, looks like they were hardly played. Paid a grand total of $30 for them. She was asking $4-5 a piece, can't beat that I figured. So that's what I got for today.

I tried emailing the n64 guy and he responded back and apologized and said we can meet tomorrow. I said ok that's fine, since I'm planning on hitting up 2-3 community yard sales tomorrow (depending on time) that are within a one hour distance, including the one I went to today since more people will be out tomorrow, I'm sure. So check back soon, maybe I'll find some more goodies. Sorry for the huge story as well lol, thanks for reading.

Went out Saturday and was able to get to all 3 community sales I had planned on, as well as one I didn't even know about. Was driving to one, and just came across it. Unfortunately, I didn't come up with much of anything at any of the sales. Note to self: don't waste time at menonite yard sales anymore! Honestly, I don't even remember seeing any video games at all really, except for flea market sellers that set up there with their boxes upon boxes of PS2/Xbox sports titles. And nothing really cool even. Tons of baby toys, stinkin clothes and VHS! I did pick up a couple of items though, nothing too interesting, plus I at least made that deal for the 64 games. So, here's what all I got:
- 3i Hybrid Golf Club Cover ($2) - I lost mine from my set like a week after I got it, so picked this one up since it was cheap. Not the same brand or anything as my others, but I'm fine with that.

- TI30 Calculator ($2) - As I was buying it, she said "Oh, the battery is dead so you will need a new one." At that point, I didn't really want it then but didn't wanna be a jerk and hand it back lol, so what the hell only $2.

- Bases Loaded 3 ($1) and Tomba! Demo Disc ($.75) - picked these up at the yard sale I didn't know about. She had 3 NES games, the one I got plus a Jeopardy and Golf game. Wasn't interested in the other two. Then I saw the Tomba! sitting there and threw that in too. Wasn't sure of it's value, but know the full game has some worth so for $.75 I took the plunge. And that's all I found! Needless to say, I probably won't end up hitting these ones again next year.

Texted the 64 guy at about 11:30 to meet up and he says that's fine, but he probably can't meet until like 1:30. I said, well I can't meet any later than 1 will that work, and he said yes. So drove over there and got to his house at like 12:20. Luckily he lived right next door to a driving range, so with nothing to do me and my brother hit a bucket of balls to pass the time lol. Picked this stuff up for $50. Not the greatest lot, but I thought it was worth it. Some good titles in there and really only 1 stinker. He asked me to make an offer for them when we first negotiated so I just threw $50 out there and he accepted. He listed the games kinda sloppily in the email and had "Zelda" listed twice. So I was hoping to get both OOT and Majora, or at least 2 copies of one of them, but was just a typo on his part unfortunately lol.

Well that's all my pickups for this time. Thanks for looking.

Here's a few pickups I made on Tuesday. This first one I bought off of a guy I've done about 5 deals with now. I first saw him posting stuff on Craigslist about a year ago, and after buying a few of his lots, he now texts me to let me know when he puts more up. Got the text, told me he'd lower the price for me and I said sure, I'll take it! Here's what all I got:

He had all of it listed for $125, but let me have it for $100. Not the greatest games, but 24 Boxed Games and a yellowed console is hard to pass up at that price. I believe the SNES box is pretty rare, and I've posted more pics of it in the Price Check forum. It's box only, no foam or anything. And the console is missing the power adapter. I haven't had a chance to go through it all yet, but I believe everything is CIB except Star Fox and Clayfighter, which are missing manuals. Boxes have some creases and wear, a few have rental stickers, but still very happy with the purchase.

He actually texted me Monday morning (made the pickup Tuesday at noon) for the above stuff, and that evening I got another text from him saying he also had some Sega stuff for sale. He asked me if I'd be interested in that as well, instead of posting it up on CL. I told him I'm not too big into Sega, but I'd take a look. So he sent me a list and price and I said sure, why not, toss it in. Here's what I got:

Sega Genesis Model 2 CIB (missing AV Cable), 32X near complete (missing AV Cable and Connector Cable, maybe some paperwork as well) and 10 games (Star Wars Arcade, Motocross, Fred Couples Golf, Star Trek Starfleet Academy, Doom, Knuckles Chaotix, After Burner, Cosmic Carnage, Tempo and Zaxxon Motherbase). He was asking $75 for that, and I agreed to it. Some rarer games in there for the 32X. He had told me everything was complete lol, but this guy always seems to forget stuff everytime we make a deal. Last time I got boxed NES games, and Mario 2 & 3 were missing from the boxes! Haha, but he's a cool guy, always finds the stuff and gets it to me. I texted him and let him know what all was missing, and he said no problem he'll find it. Either way, it would cost about $25 for the missing parts I need which I can live with.

Also made another smaller deal Tuesday night after I got off of work. A guy posted a N64 and 8 games for sale on a Facebook page for $50 (FIRM!) on Monday, so I messaged him asking for the titles. Sent me a list, some goodies in there, plus he was only in the town over so I said sure, I'll take it. Planned to meet him after work Monday night at about midnight, but he stood me up! Was pretty pissed and sent him a message just basically saying thanks for never showing up. I get a message back Tuesday evening saying "I'm so sorry sir, I fell asleep please can we meet tonight." Funny thing is, on the Facebook Messenger it was marked as read at like 12:30 that night lol, so I don't know what the deal was. Anyway, being the sucker I am, and like I said being it was only the next town over, I said sure let's meet tonight. So drove up and met him at 11. Here's the lot I picked up:

The 64 has a few broken pieces on the top vent and games need a little cleaning, but joystick is tight and I thought it was a pretty good selection of games. Really, I couldn't pass it up when he listed "clayfighter", hoping I'd come across a SC lol. No such luck, but still pleased. Thanks again for checking my stuff out, and hopefully more to come.

Made another purchase just a few hours ago. Was getting my oil changed, so went for a walk and stopped in at our local game store. I was looking around, mainly just to burn some time. Saw a few decent deals on stuff, but ended up leaving empty handed. Went back though like 5 minutes later and said screw it. Here's what I picked up:

Wasn't a $5 find or anything lol, but I ended up paying $178 total. He's had Snatcher for a little while now and I've been eyeing it up. So bought Ghoul School marked at 8.99 and Battletoads CIB marked at $18.99 and asked if he'd negotiate on Snatcher. He said sure, throw me an offer. He had it priced at 179.99, which is already a pretty fair price compared to what they're selling for. I offered $140, and he accepted. I'm really happy with the purchase, it's pretty mint. Disc has very light scratches. Just wanted to put this up real quick, now off to work. Thanks for looking.

Hit up a few more community sales this week. Not a whole lot of sales in any of the towns, but had more fun than last weeks. At least I saw some games and other cooler stuff this time. Made a few pickups, nothing too huge. First up is the board games:

I usually always look for older board games or more interesting ones when I'm yardsaling. They're probably my second favorite things to buy other than games. Paid $5 for Atmosfear and $.50 for Hotels at the same sale. Unfortunately, Hotels is missing a few pieces, but for that price I'm not too worried about it, should still be a decent flip. Had to pick up Atmosfear when I saw it. I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with it, but this is the sequel to the VHS board game Nightmare starring the Gate Keeper! My buddy used to have it (Nightmare) and we had some good times playing it, so couldn't pass it up. And Pokémon Master Trainer I picked up for $.50 as well. No brainer, I'll pick up anything Pokémon for that price. Goes for a decent amount too and is in like new condition, looks like it was opened but never played.

Came across a few sales with some PS1, PS2 games and saw a N64 with 5 games and 2 controllers. Only good game was Mario 64, but everything was pretty beat and he wanted $35, but would take $30. I wasn't interested in it for either price so passed. Did pick up some nice rarer PS2 games though for $1 a piece, all at the same sale. Here's what I got:

.hack Infection is unfortunately missing the manual and DVD and Mutation is missing the manual. DBZ is complete and in great shape. Wasn't sure about the other 2, but they looked interesting so I grabbed em. The other item is a new electronic golf caddy device. Thought maybe it'd be worth something but it's not too valuable, only paid $1 though so no loss.

And finally, here's a lot I bought locally off someone on Facebook. Another small N64 lot. A lot of good titles though and only had to drive about 5 minutes. Paid $90, here it is:

Got it home and did what I always do; popped off the jumper pak lid and bonus!, there's an expansion pak in there, pretty cool. Well, that's it for today so once again, thanks for looking.

Back with some more mediocre finds! Decided to just update it at the end of the week instead of after every find, since there's no huge ones just a few nice grabs (IMO!). Made a couple grabs on Facebook and also hit up a few more community sales this weekend. I've decided to try and hit all of the ones in my area (I set my cut off at 45 minutes away) to see what I come up with. Should be some happening just about every weekend for the next few months at least. Anyway, on to the pickups.

On Monday, I got a message on Facebook from a lady that had a decent little SNES bundle. She messaged me the game titles, I made my offer ($70), and she countered with $75 which I accepted. I was in the middle of a round of golf when she messaged, and it just so happened she was from a town that was on my way home, so that worked out nicely. Here's what I got:

Notable games include: Final Fantasy III, Brandish, Prince of Persia 2, Wanderers from Ys, Aladdin, DKC and Tetris/Dr. Mario. Console is yellowed on the bottom and the one controller has a chunk taken out near the L button, but all works great.

Next is another small bundle, this time Gamecube. The girl messaged me on Facebook with the pic and asked if I'd be interested for $50. She was about an hour away, so I didn't haggle price and just asked if she could meet partway. She said no problem, good enough for me. This was 2 Sundays ago, and I ended up picking up the lot on Wednesday morning. I was off of work for the wife's birthday anyway and we were heading to the casino and this stop was on the way. That's usually how I like to do things lol. Here it is:

Again, nothing too amazing but there is a few solid titles in there plus I'm a sucker for the Spice Orange controllers. Also included a memory card, not pictured.

And lastly, my small yard sale pickups. At the first community sale, it was actually only a section of the town so there wasn't too many sales going on. I hit this one up last year as well, and just like last year came out with nothing. Headed over to the next one about 20 minutes away. Was never there, but I really enjoyed it. Lots of sales set up and we were able to pretty much park and walk the whole town, which is our preferred method (me and my brother). Here is all that I came away with:

Got the Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC) and Genesis games (Sonic 3, Streets of Rage, Cadash and Tecmo Super Bowl III) for $20. More than I normally like to pay at yard sales, but the guy selling was spouting off ebay prices all over the place. Me and my brother both agreed, he reminded us of the guy selling guns in Taxi Driver. "I got N64's over here $30 a piece, you like Genesis? I'll do $2 for the loose $3 for boxed Smash Bros. like 30, but I'll do $25" etc. It was pretty funny actually. I debated all day about going back and offering $15 for Smash Bros, but didn't. TSB III is not pictured cause I gave it to my buddy that was jonesing for a Tecmo game.

The 2 Pokémon CIB's I found in a guy's old garage (like an old service station looking garage), which I was shocked to find there, honestly. $1 a piece, I'll take em both! Kinda looked like a flea market guy maybe getting out of the business judging by the stuff he had and how he had it. I asked about more games, but he said some guy came and bought a whole bunch. Don't know why he didn't grab those, but oh well thanks for leaving them for me. They're not in the best shape though. Yellow's box has a big tear on the back, and the carts have seen better days. When I opened Red, I was nicely surprised to find 2 Red carts in the box, so that was pretty cool. Here's a few more pics:

Was thrilled to find them, pretty much ended up making my day and became the deciding factor to not go back for SSB. The SMB/Duck Hunt/Track Meet cart I got at a local pawn shop for $3, only because I needed the cart to complete my Power Set. So that's all for this time. I'll probably end up updating again early next week. This Saturday is the HUGE community sale that everyone goes to, so hopefully I have some luck there again (scored a boxed Vectrex and about 15 CIB games for $20 last year!). Haha, don't think I'll be topping that, but I'll try. Thanks for reading.

Thanks marvel. I do a lot of hunting around and try to find at least one deal a week. If I don't, for some reason I feel like it's been forever since I found something! Silly, I know.

So hit up the big community sale, which is only like 10 minutes away. Didn't come out as good as last year, of course as expected, but was still very happy with my finds. I ended up working Friday from 2PM until about 6AM Saturday which was hell and kinda sucked lol, so got home showered and was out by 7:30. No time to sleep when there's hunting to do! Started off pretty slow for the first hour or so, but hit a nice little string of pickups and ended the day nicely. Here's what I got:

- N64 Console only w/ Expansion - $5 - Asked the guy about games/wires and he led me into the house where I spent about 20 minutes hopping from room to closet to room to basement in search of something. I'd look in one spot and before I'm done he's like, "Maybe in the boys closet, come with me!" and just kept doing it lol. I just wanted to leave, it wasn't that important to me! So he said how about $10 I said nah, thinking $5 and he took it. Got it just for the Expansion pretty much.

- Original Gameboy w/ Pokémon Gold manual - $.50 - Tested the Gameboy quick today, and wouldn't power on. Saw it does have some corrosion so I'm sure it'll work once I clean it up.)

- Purple PSP 3001 w/ Charger, Manuals and Games - $5 - Doesn't have the battery, but still works when plugged in. Games are Lego Indiana Jones and Thrillville. This is a special Hannah Montana edition PSP lol, didn't know that beforehand, but goes for a decent amount actually. It's pretty girly, but I kinda like the color of it lol.)

- Star Wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces II PC - $1 - Took a shot cause it's a Star Wars PC game, but not too valuable sadly.

- Nascar Racing 2003 Season PC - $1 - For those unaware, check out what these go for!

- Wii Games & Wheels - $3 (.50 each) - Awesome price! The lady had a bag of games on the table and another on the ground. The one on the ground had all of these games that I grabbed. She also had the console, controllers, accessories and some Skylanders. I asked about them, and her son brought out another box that had about 15-20 figures. I didn't ask how much, but ended up passing, since I'm not very knowledgable on Skylanders. Later on, I was really kicking myself for not buying the entire Wii/Skylanders lot since she was only asking $.50 a game, I probably could've got it all dirt cheap. Well, hopefully some kid got them or something, who'll appreciate and play with them. BTW, only decided to check the Mario Kart today and sadly, no game disc. Ah well, kinda bummed me out for a minute but still a great deal.

- Blue Nintendo DS Lite & Games - $1 - Got to the sale and saw the DS sitting on a rock wall with the games. There was 2 young girls out there, like 13-14, and asked how much for the DS, she said "I don't know...just a dollar." No charger but that's ok I have an extra. I flipped it over and saw Wreck It Ralph in the DS and said "Here you go, there's a game in here. She said "Oh, you can take the games too." I was like ok cool, although they're not too good that doesn't really matter at that price. Cooking Mama doesn't have the cartridge (NOOOO!!!) and the rest are Wreck It Ralph and random brain teaser games.

-DS Carrying Case and Game Boy Action Replay - $1 each - My last pickups of the day. Grabbed the DS case since I found the DS stuff earlier. It was 2 families having a sale together, and checked out the other families stuff and they had some crap Gameboy and N64 games left, as well as a Genesis Model 1 and PS1 Console ($30 and $25 asking price, pass). The box they had the 64 games in said $2 a piece, Mario games $5 a piece, so I might've missed out on something decent from the looks of it. Asked if they had any other games like SNES, NES and sadly they didn't. Went to pay the other lady for the DS case and she said, "You're looking for games? I have a couple here." They weren't there a second ago I swear, but saw the Action Replay and snatched it up.

So that's all I came away with and like I said, I was overall very happy with the finds. One other good thing to come of this is, I left my number with the guy I bought Nascar from and the lady I bought the Gameboy from. Nascar guy says he has Nintendo stuff in his closet he's gonna dig out, and I asked the Gameboy lady about games (since it randomly came with a Pokémon Gold manual) and she said she's positive she has older games. So hopefully I hear from one or both of them. More community sales this weekend too!

N64 Game lot - $34 - A lady got a hold of me on Facebook and said she had some N64 games. I offered $30 and she said that's good. Picked them up about 15 minutes away, and when I got there she found Yoshi Story too, so gave her $4 more since it's all I had.

Just made this pickup a little bit ago. Not gaming related, but I saw a lady selling it on a Facebook page and thought it was so damn cool lol. Had to buy it.

WWF Raw is War folding chair - $10 - Saw it posted yesterday and met up today, because I was working at the time. I was a HUGE wrestling fan early on up until about mid-2000's and still watch the older stuff occasionally, just don't keep up with the new wrestling. Not sure when the chair was actually made, but has the old school WWF and Raw Is War logo which is what really drew me to it. Just for shits, I looked it up and this sucker is pretty valuable to boot! I never would've thought, but that sweetens it even more!

Welp, that's all for this week. Stay tuned and thanks for looking.

Hello all. Finally decided to update this with last weeks finds! Not much by way of yardsaling, but did make a few other decent grabs. Up first:

- PS1 Game Lot - $10 - picked this up on Monday (5/19), I believe, from a lady on one of the Facebook groups. She originally was asking $30, then dropped it to $20 so I said screw it and offered her $10, which she accepted. Figured there's a few decent enough games in there. It was funny because in the pic she had up, the manual for D was flipped backwards and has Alien Trilogy on it so I figured that's the game I was getting. When I got home from work (wife actually picked this up for me during the day), I checked it out and was pleasantly surprised. If I would've seen D in her pic I would've just paid the $20.

And these next lots I picked up all on Wednesday (5/21). The SNES and N64 lot I got off of Craigslist and the small PS1 lot was from another Facebook group.

- N64 & SNES lot - $80 - The person was asking $50 for the SNES stuff and I didn't feel the need to haggle for that price. They then asked if I'd also be interested in N64 stuff so I said sure, send me a pic of what you have. They sent it and I offered $80 for both, which they accepted.

- PS1 lot - $20 - this one was up for a little while, but since I was going to be out this guy's way, figured I'd set up a deal. Not really happy with this buy, as there are a few things wrong with the lot that I found after I had time to inspect it. Alundra and Legend of Mana have some decent scratching, haven't tested them yet, and FFVIII is missing disc 3. I even asked the scrub if the games were all in good shape and he's like OH YEAH! Ah well, only $20 at least.

And now for my yard sale finds. I didn't find much at all, but they were pretty good deals for what I did come away with. This was even after 2 community sales! Didn't feel like taking pics though, sorry haha.

- Clear Pink Gameboy Advance - $.25
- Adventure Island & Ren & Stimpy (Original Gameboy) - $.50 ea
- Duke Nukem: Time to Kill (PS1) - $1

That's it! Did pretty well on some new golf balls too though, so wasn't a total loss. I asked the lady with the Gameboy games if she had any other older games and she said they had a "retro lot" out but it went almost right away. Now I'm left to wonder what I missed. So, just gotta put this slow yardsaling weekend behind and get back out there this weekend and hopefully come away with some goods. As always, thanks for reading.

Had a pretty busy week as far as finds go and didn't have much spare time to update, so it's going to be a somewhat lengthy one this time around. I'll list them in the order I bought them. Ok let's get to it:

- Berry Red GB Color
- Pokémon Black
- Pokémon Soul Silver
- Pokémon White 2
- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue
- Mario Kart DS
- Wario Land II

Local pickup from back on 5/25 that I forgot to post earlier. Paid $50 for all.

- Game Boy carrying case - $.10
- Def Jam Fight For NY (GC) - $3 (CB)
- Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (GC) - $3 (CIB)
- Def Jam Fight For NY (XB) - $4 (CIB)
- Spookies & Unsane VHS - $.47 each

These are my yard sale finds from 5/31. The 2 VHS I got from a Goodwill on the way home, figured I'd take a shot on some older horror tapes. I actually only spent about an hour, maybe less that day saling when I got to a sale and was shocked to see a really good friend of mine that I hadn't seen in a few years. So I was there for about 4-5 hours catching up just bullshittin with him and it was great. When we were younger, he lived with us for years and all so I mean he's more like a brother to me. But he had a kid and with our jobs and everything being all crazy times of the day, plus he moved out of town about a half hour away, I guess life just gets in the way sometimes.

- Sega CD Console Only
- Menacer Gun w/ Sensor & Game
- 16 Games: Mortal Kombat 3, X-Men, Shaq-Fu, Menacer, Streets of Rage 3, Lethal Enforcers 2, WWF Raw, Beauty and the Beast: Roar of the Beast, Boogerman, Mortal Kombat II, Sonic 2, Flashback, Battletech, Streets of Rage 2, Captain America and the Avengers, WrestleMania The Arcade Game

Sega lot from a person on Facebook all for $25. They actually had Nintendo and Genesis stuff all for $60 (no pics up), but someone beat me to it and went up and bought all the Nintendo stuff only. So the lady messaged me and said it's a Sega CD with 17 games. So I didn't know what the heck I was getting Sega CD or Genesis, but with that many games and being it was the town over, for $25 I said yeah I'll take it. One game short of what she said, but I don't care some goodies in there for sure, glad I got it. All games are CIB except for Streets of Rage 3, which is cart only.

Huge Craigslist find - 6/2
A guy posted a huge mixed lot of stuff on Craigslist and said he was just trying to get rid of it because he was moving and didn't wanna take it with. When I picked it up there was actually more than I thought, as he said he had found a little more. Mostly just extra hookups, boxes, etc., nothing really huge. Only slight downer was he had a near complete ROB, but sold it separately to a guy beforehand, but I knew about it before we met up. He was looking for $550 for everything, but I offered $450 which he accepted. Some stuff needs some cleaning up but overall it's in good condition. So I'll section it off and list below what was included.

- N64 Console w/ Hookups & Expansion Pack

THAT'S EVERYTHING FINALLY! Took me a while to inventory and take pics of it all haha.

Yard Sale Finds - 6/6

- Super Mario Advance (CIB), Super Mario Advance 2 (w/manual), Super Mario Advance 3 (w/manual) & Yoshi Topsy Turvy - $10

- Platinum Gamecube w/ Carrying Case (no controllers) - $5

Picked up the PS1/Gamecube at the same sale. I was only asking to buy a few of the PS1 games separate but the lady there didn't know how much her grandson was asking, and he wasn't there. So she called him and he said the whole bundle with the system is $10, I thought that was just for the system only. So I said ok and asked if he'd also throw the GC in for $5, which he did. Took a shot on the Dr. Dre cassette because I've had luck with other West Coast rap tapes in the past, they usually seem to go for a decent amount.

Yard Sale Finds - 6/7

Went out to a few small community sales, came away with some decent stuff. Most I got at one sale. The good thing was both were within about 15 minutes of me so not much traveling. Here's what all I got:

- NIB Mad Catz N64 Rumble Rod - $2
- Black Gamecube Console w/ Hookups - $5
- Tonic Trouble and Blitz 2000 (N64) - $.50 each
- 6 GBA Games: Monster Rancher 2, Lufia: Ruins of Lore, Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure, Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury, Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel and Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game - $.50 each
- GB Advance w/ Pokémon Case, manuals & 7 Games (Spyro Superpack, The Incredibles, Quad Desert Fury, Sonic Battle, Madagascar, TMNT and SpongeBob Volume 1 Video) - $5

- Sega CD Console only - $2
- Lion King CIB - $2
- Aladdin, Sonic 3, Sonic 2, Beauty and the Beast & Pac-Man 2 - $1 each
- Vectorman 2 - $.50

- Domino Rally (CIB) - $2

- (4) Atari Games - Return of the Jedi, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Superman & Squeeze Box - $.25 each
- PS2 Radica Gamester Controller - $1.50
- Other PS2 Controller - $1

So after I was all done and was at home for about 20 minutes, my buddy I work with calls me up and tells me there's a yard sale here in town that has some Super Nintendo games. I ask him what and he says, "Secret of Mana, Mario, Lagoon..." and I cut him off and said tell her to hold em, I'll be there in 2 minutes. And he also said she only wanted $1 each. So I was pretty pumped, but had no idea it was going to be my find of the year so far. I get down there and he comes up and says, "Hey, she has a gamecube with a few games to I talked her down to $15 on." I said ok cool, thanks man. So I go to her, she hands me the games and I couldn't believe what I had. Took em all and the Gamecube haha. Here's what I got:

- (7) SNES Games - Super Metroid, Lagoon, Super Mario World, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia and MEGA MAN X3! - $1 each
- (2) SNES Games - Super Star Wars Return of Jedi & Empire Strikes Back - $.50 each (same buddy picked these up for me earlier at a different sale)
- Black Gamecube w/ hookups, memory card & 3rd party controller
- Wavebird w/ Receiver
- 5 Games - Mario Party 6, Incredibles, WrestleMania XIX, Namco Museum and Phantasy Star III - All GC Stuff for $15

I was beyond shocked when she handed me the stack of the games and I flipped the labels up and saw that. And right here in town, which is the real kicker to me. I profusely thanked my friend but I'm probably gonna end up buying him a little something for that one. Maybe a pack of smokes or something lol. Thanks for looking and sorry for the MASSIVE post. Busy week/week and a half, but I'll try to update more often.

Had a few more pickups this week. This first one I made through craigslist after getting in touch with a woman looking to get rid of her kids' old games they didn't play anymore. She sent me a few pics of what she had and there was some good stuff in there so I told her I'd be interested. The pics I was sent were the SNES cartridge games, NES games & console, 6 DS games and the 6 PS1 games (they were in a stack so I didn't know exactly what they were, but wasn't too concerned). She was asking $100 for it all, and I said sure that sounds good. So Friday we met up in the morning about 40 minutes away, but I had to take my dog for his haircut which was about 20 minutes away anyway, so was already halfway there. Well, when I get there she had a bit more than I thought lol. Here's what I got for $100:

- PS1 Console w/ Hookups
- (5) 3rd Party Controllers
- 6 Games: Burstrick Wakeboarding, Madden 2001, Sim Theme Park, Driver 2, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and Spec Ops: Ranger Elite

- SNES Console, 2 Controllers & Hookups
- 16 Games: Championship Soccer 94, Dirt Trax FX, NHL Stanley Cup, Super Tennis, Play Action Football, Super Battleship, Judge Dredd, Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse, Star Fox, Pagemaster, Wario's Woods, Kirby Avalanche, Plok, Super Mario All-Stars, Turtles in Time and Zombies Ate My Neighbors

- NES Console, 2 Controllers, Zapper, Four Score and Hookups
- 12 Blue Plastic Game Cases
- 23 Games: Captain Skyhawk, Pipe Dream, Bases Loaded, Snoopy's Sports, Star Tropics, Sesame Street Numbers, Super Mario 3, Sesame Street Letters, Batman, Milon's Secret Castle, Jack Nicklaus Golf, TMNT, Duck Tales, King's Knight, 10 Yard Fight, Mickey Mousecapade, Solar Jetman, Gotcha, Starship Hector, Kirby's Adventure, Ninja Gaiden II, GI Joe: Atlantis Factor and Final Fantasy

- N64 Console, 1 Controller and Hookups
- 3 Games: Mickey Speedway USA, South Park Rally and Mario Party 3
- Red Gameboy Advance SP
- Clear Pink Gameboy Advance
- Original Gameboy
- 8 Games: Tamagotchi, The Lion King, Super Mario Advance, Sim City, Bitney Dance Beat, Namco Museum, Nancy Drew and something else lol (not too good)
- 6 DS Games: Nintendogs, Tony Hawk Downhill Jam, Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing: Wild World (no game), Metroid Prime Hunters and Castlevana: Portrait of Ruin
- 4 Gameboy Cases
- Bunch of random manuals (mostly for games not included)

- Kirby's Avalanche (SNES) - Factory Sealed

Was a really cool surprise when I saw this. I saw it in the big bag she handed me, but thought it was just CIB. I know it's not the greatest game and there is some damage (rip on the seam, denting on the front) but I've never found a sealed SNES game in the wild. She was actually relieved when I said I'd take all the extra stuff she brought with her lol. Said she had it in the basement for awhile and just wanted to get rid of it, didn't ask for any extra or anything! Which was good, cause I only brought $100 lol. So yeah, really cool stuff I thought and a unique situation you don't normally find yourself in.

Yard Sales - 6/14

Went to 2 community sales this week, the first was about 15 minutes away and the second was like 5 minutes away. The first one I'd estimate had only about 30-35 sales or so and very spread out. The second is a very small community, but everyone participates so it's cool to park at the beginning and walk the entire thing in under 2 hours. Anyway, here's what all I came away with.

- N64 Console, 4 Controllers, Memory Card, Expansion and Hookups
- 8 Games: BattleTanx: Global Assault, Mario Kart 64, Army Men: Sarge's Heroes, South Park: Chef's Luv Shack, Goldeneye, Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros. and Conker's Bad Fur Day

First sale of the day and what a way to start off the morning! Never struck gold that fast at yardsales before haha. Only $10 for everything heck yeah!

- Sega Genesis Model 1 Console, 2 Controllers and Hookups
- 3 Games: Sonic 2, PGA Tour Golf II and Toe Jam and Earl: Panic on Funkotron
- NES Console, Zapper, Controller and Hookups
- 17 Games: Othello, Platoon, Rad Racer, Super Mario/Duck Hunt (X2), Super Mario 3, Super Mario 2, Monopoly, Maniac Mansion, Double Dragon, Mystery Quest, Karate Kid, Star Tropics, Burgertime, Dr. Mario, Tecmo Bowl and Legend of Zelda

This was also found in the first town, probably about 45 minutes after starting. $25 for everything.

- Mario Kart Wii (CIB) - $2
- Pokémon Rumble Blast (3DS), Pokémon Diamond, Animal Crossing: Wild World and New Super Mario Bros (DS) - $2 each
- Red Gameboy Advance SP w/ Travel Charger - $5
- Resident Evil: Director's Cut and Resident Evil 2 - $1 each

Found the 2 RE's, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing at the second town sale, everything else was from the first. Only bought the Wild World cartridge (which is pretty beat up) to go with the case and manuals I got the day before.

Missed out on what looked like a great deal at the second town sales. Was walking up to one and my brother said "Hey, there's a Super in the box." Went up and looked at the box quick and asked how much and the lady said, "Oh, that's sold actually, this man just got here and bought it. He bought all that stuff in the tote too." So I went over and glanced in while he was chatting and about to pay and saw an NES and some games (notable ones I saw were Double Dragon II and Final Fantasy), looked like some controllers, NES Satellite, Zapper and about 50 magazines, not sure what kind. I assumed they were Nintendo Power and I think those are what made me most jealous! It was a pretty huge tote though, so who knows what else was in there. Oh well, couldn't be mad or greedy about it after making some good finds myself earlier on.

I also purchased a PS2 Slim Black with controller, 2 memory cards and hookups for $5. But, as we were leaving and hitting up one of the last sales, we got to a table where a 10(ish) year old boy was selling some small things. He looks and says "Is that a PS2?" I said yeah. He said "OH MANNN. I set this table up today cause I saw that PS2 and wanted to buy it. But I only made $1 so far." He looked just flat out devastated, like verge of tears, so I said here ya go buddy, you can have this. I handed him the console first and he says "Oh, I don't have any controllers or anything." I said, no no, here you can have it all. His face lit up and he yelled back to his dad, "Hey dad, look what I scored!". Dad made sure the kid thanked me, which he did a few times and we headed home shortly after. I only bought it to sell anyway, so I figured if I could make a kid's day over making $20 on a console, well why not.

Thanks again for reading guys!

Decided to update a bit earlier than usual since I have some free time. Didn't do any traveling this week, these two were both from right here at home, from local facebook groups.

This one I picked up on Tuesday night. Didn't have much to do at work, so got out early at 7 PM, picked this up and then went out for wings with the wife! Nothing too special, and I don't know why but I like the look of the original DS lol. Paid $20.

No charger, no problem luckily since I have a spare.

This pickup I made just a few hours ago. When I saw the girl post them up, I HAD to have them. Been dying to find some Nintendo Power's, and got a good bit of them here.

Paid $35 for all. She was asking $50, but did a little haggling. There's 78 issues in total, no duplicates. Mainly all from the SNES/N64 era. It also included those magazine holders, or whatever they are, which are pretty cool too I thought. Now, these are by no means mint condition. Most have some writing on the covers or on some pages, some have folds and wear on the cover and pages, etc. I believe they do all, or mostly all, still have the posters attached at least. And only one issue is missing the cover completely (I think it's #80 bonus issue). But I'm still so thrilled to find them, can't wait to dig in at work tomorrow and start reading away.

In my previous post, I mentioned the lot I missed out on at the yard sales this past Saturday which included a ton of magazines. I'm almost certain these are those magazines! Funny how things work out sometimes. Thanks for reading.

A few more smaller finds recently. Went out to a community sale about 10 minutes away on Saturday. Didn't find a ton of stuff, but what I did find was decent at least. Spent most of the time talking to my buddy who had a sale set up.

- All PS1 games - $1 each (All complete except Spider-Man, missing back insert)
- Okami & Metal Arms: Glitch in the System (Both CIB) - $1 each
- Conker's Bad Fur Day - $15

Picked up Conker's, TM2 and Evil Zone all from the same sale. It was from a local reseller who I've seen set up in about 4 towns so far, usually with the same stuff. This was the first time I saw Conker's there though. At first I wasn't even going to ask a price cause I figured no less than $50. So I was looking through the PS1 games and they said they were $2 each or 6 for $10. I only pulled out the 2 of them, cause not much else was good, and just decided to ask how much for the Conkers. The one guy said, "Isn't there a price sticker on it?" I said nah, not on that one. All the others did. So he said "Umm, $15 for that one then." I was pretty surprised, caught him slipping. So grabbed that and he gave me the PS1 games for $1 each.

Just to give you an idea of his pricing, I saw a box of NES games behind him. I asked if they were for sale, and he said yeah but they're pretty expensive. I said that's ok, I'll still take a look. So he brings it over, and I see a few decent titles in there, nothing too great. So I asked, how much for the North and South? He says, "Oh, this one is really rare. I need like $50 for it." Oh ok, well how about Zelda II? "This one like $40." Ok, no thanks on these holy cow! Lastly I asked about Mig 29, and he didn't know how much it was so he said "I don't know, $15 for that one." Afterwards I deduced that if he doesn't know the value of something, he will always say $15 lol.

Facebook pickups

Saw these figures posted Sunday night by the same guy I bought one of the above N64 lots from (Kirby, Clay Fighter etc.). He was asking $5 a piece, I offered $20 for all and he countered with $25, which I accepted.

- (6) NECA Resident Evil / Resident Evil 4 Figures: Crimson Head Zombie, Tyrant, Licker, Hunter, Krauser and Ada Wong

All figures are unopened, new in the package. And the packaging is in really good shape too, was just a little dusty.

So I asked him if he had any other games and he said yeah, some Gamecube games all the Resident Evil's. I said cool I'd be interested but don't have any cash on me. Send me a pic and maybe we could meet up tomorrow (since it was already close to 10 PM). So he did, and we met up again Monday morning. He was asking $30 for em, and I paid his price.

- Resident Evil 0, REmake, 2, 3, Marvel Nemesis, Zelda Collector's Edition and Spider-Man. All CIB except Spider-Man & Marvel.

This small lot was posted on a different local Facebook group, right here in town. Nice little lot, 2 minute drive can't beat it! His asking price was $20, so didn't have to haggle.

- Black Gamecube w/ hookups, controller & memory card
- Mario Party 6 (CB), Marvel Nemesis (CIB) and disc only WWF Day of Reckoning, Pac-Man Vs. and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I have another fairly decent lot I've been trying to work out with a guy from Craigslist, but he's really giving me the run around. We originally agreed to meet up on Thursday, but then he couldn't. Then we rescheduled for just about every day since but he keeps coming up with various reasons why we can't meet. I'm pretty sure he wants to do the deal though (keeps sending me pics of the stuff still), just not sure what his deal is lol. Probably my most frustrating deal so far, and I've had quite a few of those! We're now scheduled to meet tomorrow afternoon, but we'll see. Thanks for looking.

Haha, thanks guys. Jumpman - good luck man! Hope you make some good finds. I'm like 2 and a half hours northwest of philly, so I never checked their Craigslist or anything. Not sure how it is down that way as far as classic gaming goes.

I do make finds pretty regularly, but I also put a lot of time into too. I have a job that allows me to be on the internet pretty much all day, so I'm able to check Craigslist a few times a day. I'm in a bunch of those Facebook groups and search them usually a few times a day too, and also go to any community yard sales I can within about 45 minutes of me. There is a decent amount of competition around too, that I know of, but I guess I just get lucky. That or there's enough for all of us! I'm sure it'll slow down sometime though, usually does after a while.
