Hi!
I'm John, a 33 years old collector from Oslo, Norway.
I collect all sorts of games, but my main collection is NES PAL-B/SCN.

My first system was an Atari 2600 back in the early 80's and I've been enjoying games since then.

I also run my own retrosite/forum, but it's in Norwegian so you guys wouldn't understand much of it

That's the short version of me!

Hey every one. Names Dave. I'm 30 years old, and have been playing video games sense my parents bought me an Atari 2600 way back in '82. From there I bought my NES, Game Boy, SNES, Genisis, Play Station, X-Box, N 64, Game Cube, PS2, Nintendo DS, Atari 7800....umm, I think thats it. I don't consider myself a hard core collector. I just buy the games I want to play. But I have always loved the NES, and thats why I looked up this site.
*funny story* I sold most of my NES stuff back when the SNES came out, just for the money to buy the next system. I HATE myself for that now, but I'm back to pretty much everything I had back then, and then some, so I'm doing good.

Welcome Dave,
Your story sounds like mine... I saved up and bought my NES as a kid and was pretty damn proud of the 70 or so games that I had. Then the SNES came out and I got caught up in all my friends being pissed off that the NES games wouldn't play in the SNES so I sold all my NES stuff and bought a Genesis and then a Sega CD and collected those for awhile. Then all the next gen Sega stuff started coming out and I got pissed off about all the quick changes they were making with nothing compatible so I went back to my NES. Although I must say when Sony came out with the Playstation I was starting college and we used to play the crap outta that thing. It was especially fun at Keg parties playing the Twisted Metal games and Tekken games while drinking. LOL! Don't remember how many controller shaped holes there were in the walls of my apartment... :-) Ahh good times!!

Hi folks,
My name is Mark and I'm 22 from the Boston area. I grew up on the NES and started really collecting for it within the last year. I frequent many of the other forums with the same user name (DP, Rfgen, AA, and Nesworld) and am glad to find another site I can talk Nintendo on. I'm almost done updating my list and I have right around 250 NES games, 40 or so boxedor complete. I like the way this site is shaping up and I'm hoping to stick around for a while!

Hello everyone,

Names Scott and I live in Surprise Arizona with my wife Kari, three dog, 2 cats and 2 birds.

My main focus in collecting is Sega but NES has been a side project of mine. I am almost done with all the US released games for the Sega consoles. I have a complete CIB library for the SMS, Genesis, 32X, Sega CD. I am about half way done with the Saturn. Overall I have about 2800 games and 50 systems. I am one of the biggest CIB snobs you will ever met.

I also am one of the admins over at www.rfgeneration.com.... Come stop by and check us out. I think we have the best collection tool on the net.

See you on the forums

Hello all,

Most pf you have seen me around but may not know much about me. I am 29, married, and have a son who's nearly 3. I do have a cat....if you want her, she's yours. I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and am the Operations Manager in a factory that produces drawer slides for the furniture and appliance industry.

I collect NES only and unfourtunatly I do collect variants. As guys like NGD and Dain can attest, it is unbelievable hard. My collection with variants consists of around 1250 different games with 60% or so CIB. I doubt I'll ever be done with this collection as it seems like new variants are discovered each day.

My newest sub-set is the NES games with the -CAN ID codes. If you have any, please let me know. I would love to trade for or purchase them.

I also collect Boxed sets. Right now I have 13 different sets, with number 14 due to arrive any day now. Again, it seems like you find out about these variants faster than you can aquire them.

You can view some pics of my collection by clicking this link.

Thanks, Mike

Hey, I'm Christy. I'm Jason's (NGD) girlfriend. I really don't know much about Nintendo other than what he tells me, but I joined so I could help add information to the site. I have grown to love Nintendo a little more since I met Jason... but how could I not. Afterall, I'm surrounded by it now.. lol.

I guess I have never really done it right. My name is Ross, and I live in Akron, Ohio. I was given an NES for my 7th birthday in 1986, which I ended up selling at a garage sale along with about 50 great games for about $150 because my parents told me that they were not going to buy me a Super Nintendo. I ended up taking that back in favor of a Sega Genesis, don't ask me why. I bought an NES again about 5 years ago because I really wanted to play Tecmo Super Bowl, but I couldn't find it anywhere, so I settled for the Zeldas and Final Fantasy. I really started collecting about 2 years ago now, and my collection is up over 300 games now.

Cheers!

Howdy everyone! This is my first post, but I've been enjoying reading the forums for a little while now. Easily the best nintendo forums I've found on the net, certainly tops the forums I post regularly on in Australia. Although, when it comes to collecting, you guys and girls certainly know what you're talking about!

I'm from Australia and have been collecting NES and all things Nintendo for about 5 years. As I live in Australia, the majority of what I own is obviously PAL region. So if anyone is desperate to find any PAL only games or unique to Australia games, give me a yell

Welcome! We've got a few folks from Australia on these boards, and always glad to see more!

Now, on to finding Australian games (evil laugh) -- don't suppose you have an extra HES Vindicators (CIB) or Death Race (CIB), do you? I'd be interested in buying/trading those if you ever run across them. I'm also interested in finding any of the HES games that came with the dongle. I've got a near-complete HES set that I'd love to finish.

Well...Are you after the HES games that came in cardboard boxes or the ones that look smilar to VHS boxes? I've passed up many an opportunity to buy HES games in the past, mainly because the physical look of the cart didn't really appeal to me However, I do have a few CIB HES titles, but unfortunately no doubles...I'll let you know if the situation changes

Both actually -- I have several of each type and would love to get the ones I don't have. I'll put together a list of what I'm looking for and maybe if you see any out there we could work up a trade or I can purchase them from you.
