Hey everyone, I have seen a couple different methods of how to make Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets by putting it into multiple carts or using a switch on the back. I have also seen people being succesful with putting it into one cart recently and using the reset button to switch between the 4 chapters. I was wondering if anyone has a tutorial or knows of a previous posting discussing how to create a copy of AST with all 4 weeks in one cart that uses the reset switch function. As well I was wondering if it would be possible with an Infinite Nes Lives PCB and Kazzo programmer since the boards come in much larger sizes like 12mb and 16mb

Good luck with that. The repro community isn't all too keen on sharing that sort of info :/

Since the Infinite Nes Lives PCB use SMT chips, it would be very difficult to wire up any sort of switch or reset circuit to it. You would need to combine the 4 roms into one big rom and make sure it programs correctly onto the Infinite Nes Lives PCB and then wire your switch or reset circuit to the last 4 address pins of the SMT flash chip, not easy. If using EPROMs I would suggest contacting Markfrizb (arcademaster1) and using one of his boards, you can view a video of his board and LoZ AST in this video

I agree for this build technique, Mark stuff is the best.
I've purchased a couple of his new adapter and they are fantastic.
Havent tried yet the multicart, since it requires some additionnal microcontroller but the pcb design is prime stuff.
Cant go wrong with his product

I know INL was saying he could do it where every time you reset a new game would load, so no need to build a switch

This is how I assumed many had done it in the past with the INL boards since they seem to have the capacity for large sizes like 12 and 16mb. Does anyone know how they combine the roms files together or how the board knows to switch games upon the reset button being pushed.

Use the copy command with the binary flag from the command line

copy /B "cahpter 1.smc"+"cahpter 2.smc"+"cahpter 3.smc"+"cahpter 4.smc" "All chapters.bin"

And check my sig for a reset bank switch

Connect the highest address line to Q0 and the second highest to Q1

BUT I think the 12MB boards are really only good for Star Ocean as the last 4MB of the game are mapped as LoROM while the first 2 chunks are mapped as HiROM
