Yeah, you should definitely lay down a ground rule of "No shell trick". I'd basically repost the ruleset laid down by www.twingalaxies.com... for any game you're interested in hosting a challenge for. Makes things a bit simpler to judge.

Alright,, I just relized, how am i supposed to know if a person is cheating or not, i stated the rules but some ppl might not care,,, this is a tough one.

does it have to be the 1st "quest"? im not sure, but i think more points are possible after you beat the game and play the second version.

Its Super Mario Brothers, its the first one,,, the person who scores the most points will win the castlevania 2 cart. dont know what ur asking but ya

i take it this is only one round? can't beat the game twice.

its the most points period minus the cheats you can play as many rounds but you cant use warps or turle trick!!

i meant in SMB when you beat 8-4 the princess sends you on a harder version where the goombas are bullit proof beetles. I think you could get more points, just based on killing those things. Also, warping is going to give you less points not more. sounds fun though jeremy. wish i had a NES!

SMB is a strange game to have points as a goal. How about:
Balloon Fight
Clu Clu Land
Kung Fu
Pinball
or any arcade port?

See Super Mario isnt Terrible, Its just who ever has the most points after there 3 lives wins, its a pretty good game, i just went on TwinGalaxys and picked the game that most ppl have for the NES and this is what they had so thats how i chose it!
Im hoping to have a Contest every week starting on sundays and ending the sunday after!
Im hoping to have one every week for a half of year or so till i get rid of most of my Dups!

Oh no, you don't really want to pick Kung Fu, unless you have confidence you can beat me, that is if I'm as good at it as I think I am. Kung Fu, as well as those other games, and any others where score is more of the main objective would be good choices though. I just disconnected my NES, reconnected my PS2, so while tempting--for challenge-sake, not interested in the free game--I won't be participating. I would probably connect it back up again for Kung Fu though, just to make things difficult for the other contestants.
