Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests.  This week's game is Blades of Steel.  Here are the rules:

•     1 player only
•     Play Exhibition mode
•     Play on College difficulty
•     Choose whichever team you want
•     Play against whichever team you want
•     Play a whole game
•     Score as many goals as possible
•     In the event two or more people tie with the same number of goals scored (ex. 24), the bigger margin of victory takes precedence (ex. a 24-1 score takes precedence over a 24-5 score)
•     Take your picture when the game is complete.  Be quick since it doesn't stay up long
•     Most goals scored in a game wins
•     Participation: Play a whole game
•     GENRE: Sports

The contest ends Sunday, 4/22/18 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun

We'll start this off by going all the way to eleven.  This shouldn't be hard to beat.

 

Looks like this week is going to be about as thrilling as RBI Baseball week...

It's tough man. Played 3 games last night and could only muster a 4-5 loss. It may be the very last day that I post as I need a lot more practice

Well, it's no Junior League contest, but it's not too tough. I have a little experience as my brothers and I had tournaments back in the day. It was usually me versus my oldest brother in the championships. He wasn't too happy when I was finally able to beat him consistently. We didn't play much after that.

I'll go ahead and update my score now.  I need to make up some points.

Well, I was sitting there watching paint dry...literally, I just painted a couple doors, and I thought hey, let's play Blades of Steel. Can you score 10 in a period? I'll try again later.

Been swamped at work this week, but I played a few games this morning.

Still on page one huh? Ouch.... Its Saturday and we're still on page one. Gotta be honest here. I have zero desire to continue the comic or the kickle mini figures until some life gets breathed into that contest threads. I know it sucks without Santa, bricks interviews, Colorado crew shenanigans but Jesus duderses.

Yeah. There was a participation spike in 2016 and 2017, and now the participation level is basically what it was before.

I wonder what happened to Richard. I expected him to put up a good Palamedes score.

Yeah, a lot of new players became regulars in 2016-2017, but a lot of regular players have stopped playing this year as well and we're going through the aftermath of it. The competition is also taking a hit, but what we're missing most is a flow of casual participations along with actual discussions and funny talks.

I mean realistically I'm too blame. It was me "breaking into" Rich's house and the kickle monster. So I guess I need to be more active.
