A while back I mentioned that my younger brother Sloan (the rock star, lol!) was in the process of getting his band signed. Well, it's official -- Warner Brothers signed the band (Single File) and he said they're going to be produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Less Than Jake, Hoobastank, etc).

Here's a video of them if anyone wants to check 'em out:

(Sloan is the lead singer)

Anyone who's played the SNES might recognize the name of one of their songs on there, called "Zombies Ate My Neighbors" We used to play that game for days on end and I guess it must've made an impression. I still love that game!

I think it's sort of ironic that I created a site for Nintendo, and their first song to make it on the radio is named after a Nintendo game -- that's got to be more than a coincidence!

That's awesome man!! My speakers are disconnected right now, so I couldn't listen to any song, but I imagine they must be pretty damn good to have Warner Brothers sign the band. When did they start off with the band?

I like their sound a lot. Clicked through the links there. Impressive that they're backed by the same guy that does Less Than Jake, that's a real accomplishment. Those guys are still at it (new album in 2 weeks) after a decade and almost as many albums. Bodes well, Benson def. has a good ear Well anyways now he has one more buyer when their first release comes around.

Didn't him getting signed have something to do with you getting a Gold NWC cart?

Oh, and, that's my girlfriend's type of music, and she likes it.

Sort of, but it didn't have to do with him getting signed. It based on whether or not they make it big, which is so tough to do these days. I'm hopeful they do, but not because of the NWC -- I really like their music and he's my bro! I'm definitely their biggest fan, and have been for 3-4 years now

How big is making it big? A video on MTV? A platinum album?

LOL, well, the deal was that if they went platinum, I won the bet. If he wins the bet (which would suck), he gets my Lego collection, which is worth at least as much as an NWC gold.

Very cool man. Glad he is finally "making" it. The music biz is tough to get your foot in the door. I can smell the Gold NWC now, haha.
