I think it will be really interesting to see speedrunners try out the game. Apparently you can immediately go straight to the final boss. You'll be absolutely destroyed, but it's possible. I'm sure we'll see some crazy times from them.

Interesting to note (and perhaps much more than just "noteworthy") Is the fact that Breath of the Wild for the Switch is now the highest-rated video game of all time on Metacritic after 50+ reviews, with an average review score flirting with 99/100 across 61 reviews. Wouldn't surprise me if that score is never surpassed. The lowest score out of all the reviews is currently a 9/10.

I dare say it's no longer just hype   Hard to even find a review where the reviewer doesn't call it the best game they've ever played.


 

Guys, this game is really good! Yes. This game is massive. It's such a pleasure to explore this massive world. You'll want to see every inch of this land. There is so much detail in the design of geography, and hidden chests and interesting areas. The game on Wii U is very nice looking. Stuff does look kinda flat in the far distance and things and textures pop in when you get closer. It's not too bad. The frame rate is pretty unstable at the start when you first leave the cave. It does get better when your out and about though. It seems to happen when turning the camera with an area with lots of moving grass, leaves. Areas with lots of visual effects or moving objects can drop it. Combat with multiple enemies (2-3+) can slow down a bit. After playing for a while, you won't notice it anymore. Overall, you'll have a great experience on the Wii U. This is going to be a classic for sure. Any other questions I can answer?
ive been playing for 3.5 hours and I'm still on the great plateau. This game is huge! You will spend hours wandering through the game. There are different environments and very beautiful areas and lighting

Zelda gets a lot of passes where other games wouldn't, especially in the reviews department. While I feel like I'm in the minority of people who actually do like Skyward Sword, it's not the best game ever, nor the best Zelda game ever. Though come day one review time, this game was getting 10's across the board because of the leniancy Zelda seems to get from reviews.

Spirit Tracks is absoulute garbage though.

Also Sidenote: I'm as excited for Breath of the Wild as anyone else, I just think that review scores for the Legend of Zelda series in particular are horribly skewed.
