That sounds pretty interesting. I'm terrible at Tetris but I still enjoy it. One of these days I've really got to pick up a switch. Recently picked up Tetris Effect. Cool version makes me want a VR headset.

I suck at Tetris

I've played about 6-7 rounds this afternoon. I can't completely figure out the punishment mechanism. There are some games I barely have the floor pushed up for a long while and I've made it to the top 20s. Other games, within 5-7 seconds the floor is pushed up 4-7 rows and I die ranked in the low 80s. Lol, WTF?

You send other people garbage based on how many doubles or higher you clear. Garbage is on a timer, so if you have some coming your way you can clear lines to counter it. You can decide who gets your garbage with the stick and each player you knock out gives you points towards badges. The more badges you have the higher your multiplier for sending garbage. You also get the badges of each player you knock out. At its core you want to clear as many lines at once as possible to survive, but there is strategy in who you target your garbage to, as the more kills you get the more garbage you can send.

I like it. I manage to get in the 20s, worst in 50s but manage to rank six one match.

Still hoping Nintendo brings more to the Online subscription services, so far its still a bit bare.

I got a win earlier today. After that I hit a losing streak where I was getting rolled. Must have been luck, lol. Wish I had taken a picture.

Thank you noiseredux! And congrats CMR!! It's a cool feeling when you finally get that win. I've gotten a couple more 2nd place finishes. The Japanese players are pretty darn good.

I would like to thank OP for this thread. The promise of playing Tetris in bed was the final blow that convinced my wife that we should buy a Switch. Just picked it up this morning.
