Not a huge find, but felt like a good win. Small back story, there is only one dedicated videogame resale store where I am from(aside from gamestop, if that counts). They used to have amazing deals, most of the time games were 50% or higher less than market value. Well they got wise and raised all their prices to market value and in some cases higher. This was upsetting to me as I lost a great source for getting rare games at excellent prices. They normally sell their sega genesis systems for $25. They had a handful of them in there and one was $40. It had a sega cd model 2 attached to it. I thought it was funny because someone knew it had more value, but did not price it accordingly, as I have seen sega cds alone in there for $120 before. Every now and then I can get a deal there still, as they have so many employees and are constantly hiring new employees that things get missed and mismarked. Today was one of those days.

Hey good find! I've had similar funds at small retro shops. One time I found two copies of Arcana in the same stack of common games and the one in better condition was $5 less and about $10 under market average at the time! Same shop I found Final Fantasy III for $25 back when it was common at $45-50. Shop keeper said a newer employee had priced it like Final Fantasy II would have been but said he would honor the sale. It was better than the copy I had so I swapped it out in my collection and sold my old copy for $45. It was a double win!

Nice! Yeah I always like finding copies that are cheaper than market(who doesn't) and better than the one I own. Then, selling the worse copy. Make a little and improve the collections quality, as you said double win.

I once had the fortune of snagging a Sega CD Model 1 along with several other consoles/games at a local auction, although the Sega CD couldn't power on. Still a win for me once I sold it.
