I will say that it's a fun game. It could have been a better game if you weren't falling all the time, though. In Pro Mode, the racers are programmed to make you fall and it is not fun at all. Pretty frustrating. At first, I was disappointed with the game, and then I played the tutorial. Pretty complex controls, but once you get the hang of them, it's fun. Also, I must say that it is repetitive and some races just look the same. I don't have a lot to say about this game, I'm neutral about it.

Good game, but frustrating sometimes.

You can do it ! If you did the first one, I'm sure you can do the second entry.

Has anyone ever played Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs ? I plan to start it later today and I heard it's a very difficult one.

I have! It got pretty rough reviews and most people hate it but I don't think it's that bad. I'm a few levels in after playing it a few months ago but obivously you're welcome to play it! As for difficulty it's definitely got some tough spots that are mainly due to poor design in some places.

Are you far in it ? If you want to complete it, go for it ! I don't want to steal the points from you. Also, I don't have any experience with the game and I wouldn't bother about not doing it, to be honest. Were you playing the story mode or the arcade mode ?

Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs isn't that difficult so far. I've completed Arcade with the Americans, the Soviets and the Black Dogs. 10 missions completed in the Pilot campaign of America.

How far are you guys in the games you're playing right now ?

Almost done with mission impossible. Not sure when I can play next though.

Game is terrible... controls, graphics, gameplay, hitboxes. Had to play several levels over because it would bug out.

I was playing story. I'm not incredibly far, probably 1/4 of the way through if I had to guess.
I don't know if campaign or arcade would be the better way to go, but I might just play a few more campaign levels and see if I can get back into it.

Well, I've completed Arcade with all three teams. By the way, there are 17 missions for the Americans, 9 missions for the Soviets and 10 for the Black Dogs. I'm actually pretty far in the game now, so don't worry: I'll try to finish it.

Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs is completed. This game was a very nice surprise to me. When I first looked at the negative reviews about this game and its difficulty rating on gamefaqs.com (Unforgiving), I was already demotivated. Then, I told myself that I would be able to complete it, even if it would take a lot of time. When I started playing it, I was very happy to see that the game isn't that bad. In fact, I liked it a lot ! The controls are good, it is not a terrible game visually and above all, I really liked the concept. I would classify it as "StarCraft in 3D". The missions, while not very diverse, were fun and not difficult at all. I don't know why this game is considered to be so hard.

I completed the Arcade Mode first with the three teams (American, Soviet, Black Dog) to be prepared for the mission-based Pilot Mode. I completed this second mode with the Americans and I really liked the story in it. I won't spoil anything, but there's something I really liked in the progress of the story. Message me if you're curious ! I would definitely recommend Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs if you like strategy games. It is not a game for everyone, but the fact that it's so unknown is astonishing. If you see it for a low price, go for it.

Underrated game.

Rally Challenge 2000 is completed. I didn't like this game very much, because of the cars which are not very efficient. The game tried too much to be "realistic" and this ruined the experience for me. The music wasn't memorable either and to be honest, I'm pretty happy it's done now. Definitely the worst rally game I've played so far on the N64.

Mediocre game.

I'm away from my N64 at the moment, but if I get the chance to help you guys later this year, I'll try to do so.

Is Pokémon Stadium 2 going well smottrill ? It seems to be pretty tough.

Mega Man 64 is done.

Originally posted by: RetroMichel

At first, I expected a bad game seeing the 4.5 out of 10 note on IGN, but later, I discovered that it was just an unfair review. Why did they give this rating ? Well, Mega Man Legends that came out in 1998 (USA) on PlayStation is the exact same game that is Mega Man 64, released in 2000. So, Capcom would have released the same title two years after with only few improvements. Because of this, IGN came out with a conclusion of 4.5. Yes, I know, it's pretty bad from Capcom releasing the game two years later without many upgrades, but it is still good, and I need to say that I really liked it. It is not excellent, but it can be really fun if you want to start an adventure. Hard bosses, a lot of upgrades for the right arm buster, memorable characters, and good graphics are the reasons why I liked this game. I'd recommend it !

Good game.
