Indeed, interesting. For the most part, I like it when games include those sorts of modes.
BTW, Brock, if you haven't yet seen my latest post in S16's beat-'em-all thread, I mentioned that I'm going to try to help out over here as much as I can next year. My hope is to take on some of the cross-platform sports games I've beaten for S16's beat-'em-all effort—stuff like, MLBPA, Cal Ripken, NBA Showdown, Bass Masters Classic, etc. I'm hoping I gained enough of a handle on the Genesis versions of those games that the SNES versions won't end up giving me too much trouble. I'd also like to investigate some of the SNES-exclusive sports games, in particular baseball games, like the aforementioned Relief Pitcher. I'm currently attempting to track down some inexpensive copies of these games.
