Thanks! Do you know if gamevaluenow uses the same eBay data as pricecharting? Or does it have more differentiation between versions? Thanks again.
They both have access to the same data, but they treat it slightly differently with their own unique algorithms and checks (including manual data checking on GVN's side - I do not know if PriceCharting does as much manual work to clean up their data).
Great, thanks. I'm curious because of all the different versions of games that exist out there. For example, I have a non Rev-A Super Mario Bros(Pretty sure it's 5th print) that I'd like to compare CIB prices for. It's currently got an offer for $310 on eBay, I'd like to know if that's high, low, or just fair. Similarly, I had a CIB hangtab Donkey Kong in mint condition but I sold for around $350. That's the second highest price I've seen on pricecharting, but I don't know if it's comparing the version I had two other versions like I had, or if that's just what it goes for when it's a more common version like non hangtab. So more resources will be great.
Unfortunately to my knowledge neither site goes into revisions as such, just "here's GameX, and the average price for it". It might be worthwhile for one or both of them to get more specific on certain games, but I'm not sure it's on either's roadmap.
They do both differentiate between 3 and 5 screw editions, but that's as deep as either seem to go.
