I'm a video game fan, especially when I'm not wasting days at work and after it's too late to play my guitars. Have every Nintendo system except the little Pokemon handhelds and the Switch (including a couple Virtual Boys that need to be soldered.) Love my PS3 , but really dont' have any interest in modern games; sandbox, MMORPGs, FPS games do not interest me, but 2D fighting games, JRPGs and shmups really do.
My pride and joy are my two original top-loaders though; I just ripped the connecters out (one had a gold-plated replacement 72 pin, the other an original that was bent) and did a boil/rubbing alcohol bath/CRC contact cleaner bath treatment (no abrasion/sanding/bending) to the original Nintendo connectors; the result is I have cartridges where insertion is basically hotdog->hallway, but they work 100% of the time (tested with each of my couple-dozen carts, newer & older.)
My main NES is the ugly one; it has a suntan from living near the beach in San Luis Obispo for most of its life, and breathing seawater and child-spit did no favors for that connector (or the cartridges that came with it, which were black with muck... Think they were licked.) It was given to me by a friend who had it when she was a kid, and told me to keep it considering she thought it was non-functional. My alt. console is the one I keep nice in a box, it's the one I "grew up" with as far as I remember playing it in the late 80s, it was my cousin's and it got handed down to me. I probably play the SNES more, but something about the NES will always make it the captivating one...
Uhh more? Rarest games I own overall: Prob. Metal Storm, Castlevania Dracula X, Pocky and Rocky... All original copies I've had for a while.
I also have a Superjoy 3
