Hard to say without looking at it. Could be one of 3 things. Either there's a solder lead or a cable that came loose between the connector and the board, the connector pins are worn and aren't making good contact with the cartridges, or it could be something in the connector like debris or something.

The snes port won't play any games whatsoever? I have a retron 3 aswel and there's a good number of games it can't play, anything with the fx chip and a few more. If it can't play anything though I'd email where you got it, especially if it's the second.

Is there a way to fix the problem(s)or do you surgest just buying a new one ,or better yet go with a official console?

I suggest this be moved to the Brewery section to see if it can get fixed first. Maybe someone here could help.

I did have a problem with my FC Twin not reading my games even after I polished the contacts. What I did was get my SNES original consoles and kept pushing the cart in and out until the game read in it~ Doing so in the FC Twin didn't work since the contacts weren't as good for making a connection. But now after I used the SNES to "Scrub" the contacts on the carts, they work fine for my FC Twin. So it could be the games?
