I already posted this in my oddball collection thread, but here it is again.  I dig how Data East reused a Cobra Command cart for this and just slapped a label over the top.  They did this for one other proto I know of as well:  Werewolf.

Good idea for a thread, I really dig the way some prototypes look...

Here are a couple I used to have but sold.

Final Fantasy III Prototype
Final Fantasy III Prototype

Chrono Trigger Prototype

I sold the Chrono Trigger one last year on e-bay for $1000.00 and I don't remember how much I sold the FF3 one for but it was a while back.  I originally got both of these from DreamTR.

Meebzork(Adventure version) Unreleased Atari 5200 Proto, and Phillips CD-i demo. I have a stack of those CD-i demos somewhere. I'll add them when I get a chance. I'd love to try them out, but I don't have a CD-i.

It's no proto, but people don't realize how rare these are.

Superman for the SuperNESman

Boy, was that longboard hard to get back in there. It took me a few days, and I was very scared of breaking it, but in the end, it all worked out

I've snapped off the middle tab in order for long boards to fit without damage.  I've seen a few pcbs bent in the past due to them being squeezed into carts cases.

At some point in the future I'll update this thread with everything I've got.  I have them all in different photobucket folders, I just haven't had the time to sit down and post them yet.

They're not very interesting, just loose chips. The USA Bowling is pissing me off at the moment. I know it uses an SKEPROM board (it even says it one of the chips), and I have 3, but I can't get them to fire up while in the pcb. They have some weird resistors in them, not sure if that's the problem, but I can only assemble and play them in emulators.

I'll take some pics of the chips, and I'll post screen caps in another thread sometime soon.

Nope, any NES proto that Matt and I own that is not a double is staying with us until we get out of collecting (most of the doubles probably will too).  We're actually in the market to buy more, so hopefully we'll have more to share in the future.

I got 3 more in recently, and took a picture of one that I apparently never photographed before.  I also have one more NES proto on the way and one blank TKEPROM-02 board for my Super Turrican NTSC chips.

Super Glove Ball Proto:

Tiger-Heli Proto (had this for a while, don't know why I never snapped a pic):

I recently sold out most of my SNES and Genny protos, but I couldn't pass these 2 up.

MUSHA:

Light Crusader on a very cool long board with some dips:

MUSHA is a great game and rare enough on its own, I couldn't pass that one up.  Light Crusader isn't the greatest game in the world, but it's one I owned and played the crap out of when I was younger and I'm a sucker for anything on an odd PCB.

Very special thanks to Tracy for selling us those 2 Genesis protos, you rock!

I'll update again when that other junk shows up
