I wanted to get over 200k for a possible 3rd place but it doesn't look like that is happening. I might get 5th depending on what skinny comes up with.

Apparently the wave z rule was only for Bea and Gloves unless skinny or tables shows up with an improved score.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Gloves hasn't made it wave z either.

I was not as keen on "farming" humans this time around, so had a shittier pace compared to my last game, but in the end I succeeded in my goal.

The best points definitely come from getting humans from martians for 1k or 1.5k points. Later levels give 900 each per remaining human at the end of the level so that's decent, but those extra 100 and 500 points add up over the 35 levels you have available to clear. Could easily have gotten even more points, probably up to 20k or so more points in the end, had I focussed harder on doing so.

Saving abducted humans is definitely the way to pad the score, but it is so boring and tiresome to do!
I just don't have the patience in this game to do it. I only have fun by shooting everything in my path here.  

It would have been cool to see what kind of scores you both would have had without the wave z restriction. In hindsight the restriction was probably unnecessary because only two players made it that far anyway.

Thank you Bea. I sat down and gave this a chance and I have to say now that I've played it, I wish the contest wasnt over so soon. The game has its warts but I think the spaceship controls well. Hopefully I can squeak into the 8th spot with this

IMO, this is the easiest shooter that we'll play this year and the only one where I could make the top 8.

Star Force on the other hand is going to be a nightmare. I expect most here to have a real tough time with that one.

Gonna have to agree with you there. I'm weak at shooters, and this wasnt too bad once I got over the initial hurdle and took my time.  Guardian Legend, while fun, was hard for me -- and Life Force I just couldnt get close to participation at all.
 

Yeah that happened to me with Yoshi.  I would have had 3rd...
 

And this might be the only time where I'll ever beat skinny at a shooter. I doubt this'll happen again.
