Unreleased Nes games with confirmed undumped prototypes What unreleased Nes games are confirmed but just haven't been dumped

Unreleased Nes games is what has kept my interest in the hobby over the years. With that said what unreleased Nes games are confirmed to have known prototypes but just haven't been made available online. Whether someone dumps them online doesn't matter to me. I just want to learn of titles that are actually confirmed so I don't have to wonder any longer. I know Sim City has been confirmed, as well as a complete unbuggy version of Legend of Robin Hood and a platformer Fun House game that is 100 percent different than the released game. I think American Crisis exist also. I also know Aigina's Prophecy and Spy vs Spy II The Island Caper exist as localized prototypes. Anyway, please no one post negative messages about owners who haven't dumped their protos online. That's not the purpose of this post. Most protos when dumped people play and forget about soon after anyway, so it's not worth fussing about.

I know that the NTSC of Super Turrican wasn't released and is owned by collectors. the PAL version was released but it plays weird on NTSC, so the NTSC version would be nice to have.

Thanks for the great list! Neat there is a localization prototype for Beauty and the Beast. What are the chance for a localized Aladdin existing? Also, someone mentioned Turrican. Is there a localization for that one? I assumed they were all Pal roms just sent over for review?

Personally, I think Secret Ties is fantastic and would be hard to beat. With that said, I would definately like to play Ultimate Journey. It definately seems like it might be good quality. My most wanted unreleased game though is Shogun Maeda by VIc Tokai. Granted the original art I found, has helped in this decision but I also am a big Vic Tokai fan. I actually just posted the art in another thread if you want to check it out. Here is link for the game with screen shots. http://lostgames.shoutwiki.com/wi... Also, thanks to Frank(redeye) here is a link showing a CES ad he sent me used to promote the game. https://m.imgur.com/gallery/DRQwY...

I have an NTSC copy of Super Turrican NES. Notable differences between the pal version- no music, has controller config, and different difficulty settings

I believe the Nolan’s had some loose Turrican roms that we’re not working but someone here was able to crate a working file from them?

I'm pretty sure I released the roms for my copy of Spy Vs Spy 2.

There's also Dino Hockey that's complete, dumped, and I believe undistributed.

I know who owns a copy and I doubt it will ever be dumped.

Does anyone have info on Fun House? Wasn't the proto version due out maybe a year before the released version? Any idea as to why it was canned? I know a vidpro card exist, so apparantely it was very close to releasing.

I can't wait to play the NES version of Sim City. So they are going to release it after all?

I don't know.  I hope they do; although even if they don't release it to the public, it's been confirmed dumped and secured so at least we know bit-rot won't claim it

Those differences sound pretty interesting.  It's a shame about the BGM though, as it is one of Turrican's strong points.  The game is rather brutal and has a rather odd default control scheme which would benefit from user customization

I was looking through Hudson's Winter 1993 issue of The Hubee Network and by chance stumbled upon this great preview:

Looks like they got pretty close to doing the NTSC release ....

I talked to the developer of Seven Gates to Eternity years ago and I recall him mentioning he still had a prototype of the game that's around 70% finished.. I still would like that game to show up one day. At the time I asked him about preserving it (footage, pics, etc.) or selling it, but he didn't seem interested.
