ok ok...i am getting the hang of it

a MUST in order to get high scores is to get the "Hidden" rooms (you get them by getting the little symbols every 3-4 levels)

once on those, you just need to GO CRAZY (and fast) uncovering blocks

THIS is how to get a high score

Yup, hidden rooms are a big part of this game.  There's one every 4 levels.  Most of the time the little symbol is hidden under a block, but it's well worth finding.

I've written a guide on GameFAQs that shows where every hidden item is, as well as full walkthroughs for every level.  I've also posted a complete game on YouTube.  Both of these are well worth checking out if you get stuck.

Here's another hint: NONE of the goodies in the hidden rooms are in the sides of the screen, so don't waste your time digging there.  The top and bottom rows are always empty, as are the 2 columns on the left and right sides.  You should be able to uncover every possible item within the time limit, as long as you stay out of these areas.

Oh yeah, in case you haven't figured it out yet, the gray medicine bottles give you a false sense of extra time.  They increase your timer but also make it count down faster.  The net result is that you don't actually get more time, just more points for completing the level.

An easy way to die is to collect the medicine followed by the orange hourglass (resets your timer to 5000).  The time will count down at the increased rate due to the medicine and run out before you know what hit you!  Instead, whenever you uncover both of these items on the same level (like in the hidden rooms), wait until you're done with the level, then get the hourglass FIRST, then get the medicine and escape the level with your timer bonus.

Hope this helps!

Nope.  I'm actually not playing this week.  Just offering a little help to whomever wants it.

1,457,580  A couple of the levels are stupidly hard later on. 42 was the death of me, not only was it hard to figure out how to complete the level, the enemies and flames are well placed to end your game.

Long work week. I will have a score posted tonight. I will definitely look at your walkthrough and watch your youtube video Tom. I really like this game, but it and other puzzlers really aren't my strong suit. I'll definitely give it my best shot though.

I should have been playing this all week. This game is quite fun.

Thanks for writing. I apologize for the delay in responding to your email during this busy time of year.
In regard to your email, it is great to hear that you have found a copy of Perfect Dark for the Nintendo 64. Perfect dark was a first person shooter game that was released in May of 2000. I personally enjoyed this game a lot during my mid-teen years since it allows for up to four players to play at one time. All the Perfect Dark cartridges were black.

I hope this information is what you are looking for.

Response I received from Nintendo customer support when I asked if they knew any thing about a black Perfect Dark cart.

This is it for me. Kept making excellent progress but eventually just hit a wall and I'm burnt out. Great game!

Best I could do with with the time I had to play. Could have gotten into this game way more though. Got real fun once I figured out what was going on. Trying to participate as much as possible now but GTA was taking up my limited free time this week.

Sorry for the minimal effort this week guys,I've just had a lot of stuff going on....plus I've started playing FF Tactics again. I actually played this a little on thursday and got a modestly higher score than this (around 403k) but didn't take a picture since I figured I'd post a better score this weekend. Oh well.
