I'm half Italian and was born there and am fully expecting our team to whip out our cocks and smack the english on the face with it.

Oh, and I'm expecting we will win the game as well

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

I'm a Croatia supporter. Proud of the way the team played, particularly in the 2nd half, but needless to say I'm extremely disappointed by the officiating.

With Spain vs. The Netherlands being the last game we have the first big match of the tournament. Actually I don't really like either team but I'm hoping that Spain wins this for a few reasons. Of course the most obvious being that I'm German and when it comes to football we and the Dutch just hate each others guts. Outside of football we get along just well though .
The other reason being that I find maybe two or three dutch players likeable. Most of them are ruthless in duels especially the defense which is fairly average. They're talented in fouling the opponents though. Van Bommel is especially brutal and I'll never forget that despicable challenge of Nigel De Jong in the 2010 final against Spain. Worst case his opponent could have died from that attack. I always thought attacks like that should be punished with a ban for at least a year or more.
So hopefully Spain will give them a good beating today

Edit: 20 seconds into the game first foul by a dutch player

Probably not but it was very tough to see at full speed. Even with some of the replays it was hard to tell for sure. Other than that the referees do a good job. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the dutch players gets send off in this game. They are playing as aggressive as I expected.

There was a contact. Costa's foot landed on the leg of the dutch defender which was sliding away already so it basically pulled away the leg of Costa. The contact was there the movement was very typical for a foul. It wasn't a foul but it clearly wasn't obvious to see for any of the referees. When I saw that duel I immediately thought penalty and I'm sure most people did.

PS: There's just the main ref, the linesman and the referee assistant behind the goal. Sure there is another linesman and another official but those are like 60 meters away and can't see anything from that distance. Not to mention the fourth official doesn't even take part in deciding that kind of stuff.

The main ref is the one who makes the decisions, however they all speak with their intercoms.

I know that but it doesn't make the eyes of any of the referees perfect

Well the third goal by the Netherlands was clearly a wrong decision by the ref lol.

Edit: Lol Spain is getting pounded now. Horrible mistake by Casillas.

One thing I've noticed with the goals from Netherlands is that they take their sweet time getting back into the game.
You'd think this was the last game hehe

Yeah they are getting out hustled
The sucky part is the diff of goals now they have -4
So now they gotta win the other matches by 2+ goals

We'll see if the goal difference will matter in the end but it'll be hard to repair and the better goal difference basically translates to one point so it's definitely not good to have -4 standing there ^^

That was thoroughly entertaining! I actually don't think Spain played that poorly - they had a ton of really good chances, even in the 2nd half. I think the Dutch deserve all the credit in the world for that win.
