I could be interested in a regular release. No interest in splurging on a CIB release of a hack, though.

I'd be in. Possibly one of the games I played the most as a kid.

-------------------------

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at the Let's Play Gaming Expo last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Oh, my WTB thread is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, Richard craniums - they all adore it. They think it's a righteous thread.
I'd also like to add that I've got my father's gun and a *scorching* price guide for aftermarket Nintendo games.
Between Dragon Warriors and nothing... I'll take Dragon Warriors - for any of my FT/FS/FO items.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I guess I'll take the Demo and make an IPS with it. You can include the eventual link in the first post.

Do you also want me to give you the prototype Limited Edition cover? The cover shown in the first post right now, is of the regular version.

Yeah, there will be a normal version, nothing fancy. Actually, this brings me to a good question... Will there be loose carts available? I'd very much approve of that. Not everyone likes boxes and manuals.

I'd be interested as long as it's not choppy and such and sounds real, I've played many roms that don't have good sound at all. Not sure if it's the rom, or my laptop, or the emulator itself.

It sounds like the emulator is at fault. If your laptop is powerful enough, use BSNES. It's the definitive SNES emulator. All the sounds in Mario World work correctly. It's what I used to play Super Mario Land 3.

The music and sound effects are unchanged, but that's to ensure compatibility with real hardware. It seems most Mario World hacks with new music don't work on a real SNES.

Awesome Turn out guys.

So this is what will going to happen

First-

LE CIB will be released. I need all the people that is interested in them to post it or PM me. I will leave this open till Sunday Wednesday January 16 to Sign up for one. Then, I will round the number of sign ups and will announce the Final number days after Wednesday

LE CIB will be costing 125 plus shipping.

Second-

After LE CIB is produced and delivered, this thread will be recycled to order Regular CIB for around 85 dlls (no sure yet, lets hope) and a Cart + UGC for 60.

There will be a big Run, like the LE CIB, and then those will be able to be done as a custom order through NA or my website.

I was just about to ask you how many Limited Editions will be printed. I guess I have to wait for Wednesday. I don't wanna have to compile a new PDF for the manual twice. Once is enough for me. Numbering will be formatted like this "23 / 50". The left number will be a white space to be filled in during assembly.

In the mean time, does anyone want to see the Limited Edition cover art? I think it looks pretty good.

I guess I have to make a decision, whether to buy a copy of the Limited Edition, or get a regular... Or get a loose cart, haha.

Here's the tentative cover art for the Limited Edition version of the game.

If you get far into Super Mario Land 3, you'll realize the significance of that background art.

With the cape? Umm, one tiny problem with that... But I'd like for people to discover for themselves, haha. Anyone who has gone through the whole demo might notice it.

If I could find a high quality image of Fire Mario, I was thinking of putting him and a Kirby on the front cover... But maybe the Limited Edition looks better with it's clean appearance, where the focus is on the background. Sorry for being vague about it. I'd like for people to learn the significance of the front cover all on their own.

What do you mean?

The SMW Central guys, considering how mad some of them get. They're the biggest SMW hacking community and they release a lot of hacks for free often.

Let them get mad. Other Mario World hacks have been released on cartridges. I don't see how they can be considered an authority on SMW hacking, just because they're the biggest. The person with final say is Fu So Ya, who made Lunar Magic.

Besides, their signatures are obnoxious. Easily the worst site I've ever seen for viewing clutter.

You'll make loose carts available as well right?

The Limited Edition packaging is pretty much waiting for the final print run tally at this point. I suppose in the mean time, I can do more testing and make sure everything is in order.

I noticed a difference in the ROM between LE and SE mentioned a couple of times. What kind of differences are there going to be as far the ROM goes?

The Limited Edition ROM will have "Limited Edition" on the title screen and will include one extra level. Not sure if I'll say the name of the level or not, maybe I'll let you guys figure it out on your own. The LE packaging will mention the extra level on the back. Other than that, the LE and standard ROMs are pretty much the same. Other than the extra level, buyers of the standard game won't be missing much.

This isn't quite set in stone though. It won't be until the LE version of the game gets sent off to be printed.
