As far as consoles go the only version of the classic doom I’ve played was on the X-Box. I’m now trying to decide between the PS1, XBox, and PS3 versions. I’m assuming the PS3 is the best because it’s the newest, has anyone compared the dif. ports?

The 360 version had all the PC levels plus extra levels and online multiplayer for like $5

I'm not sure if that is the same as the PS3 version but prob the best non-PC version. Most other ports cut content or were almost totally different games all together.

OG pc the best.

I couldn't care less about the n64 but DOOM 64 is my favorite version of doom on a console.

People really like Brutal Doom, which is intentionally over the top with blood and effects. ZDoom (and GZDoom) is regular Doom with modern upgrades like high resolutions and mouselook. Chocolate Doom is an authentic source port of the original Doom (meaning it renders 320x200). I personally use ZDoom.

Consoles aren't where to play Doom   But the 360 port was good.

I'm still a fan of the original Doom II on PC. Still love booting that one up when I can.  I've play the X360 version and enjoy it, but just not the same as the good ole mouse n keyboard method.

Is this just regular Doom or is there a Doom II version like this?

I thought ZDoom and GZDoom would take WAD files from any version of the game.

Looks like it supports Doom, Doom II, Heretic, Hexen, Strife, Chex Quest .... and a few more maybe too.  Any IWAD files

I'll certainly be trying this out soon.  Thanks for the tip!

Wow, didn't realize it had support for non-Doom wads, but makes sense I guess.

Very cool.

OG one for me too. Doom 64 was awesome too, even though I normally don't know where to go in that game. lol

I really wanted to like the current one, and I do, but when I play it, it makes me feel nauseous.
