Ladies and gentleman, welcome to another speedy and thrilling week of NINTENDOAGE 2019 WEEKLY CONTEST!

This week, our nimble and agile competitors will be tackling an exciting game of PINBALL!
They will need to be on top of their reflexes to overshadow the blazing speed of HIGH SPEED!

The rules for this week are very fly and simple:

• Play till game over or till you beat the game
• Highest score wins
• Take your picture at the hiscore screen

The contest ends Sunday, 08/04/19 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.

I've never played this game before

Loved pin bot.. Best physics in a nes pinball game I've played.. Hopefully this has the same charm.

I’m not a fan of pin-bot. I enjoy the black box pinball. 

But pin ball video games in general are hard for me to get into.

 

So if your high score doesn't make the high score screen......lol

It took the Mexican Runner almost 30 hours to beat this for Nesmania. But his goal was to beat 14 minigames.

I think I'm noticing lag on this game since the ball moves quickly at some points. I've ordered an AVS last week, still waiting for it to ship.

plus that fireball thing that drops the ball between the paddles is an a-hole. 

Hit select and b alternately to shake it loose.

I wonder if arn will join in this week. He beat this for his blog not too long ago.

Be careful if you are on an AVS and use the default bindings -- sabotaged a good run while trying to shake loose of the ball trap and accidentally reset to the AVS menu. Might have to disable it for this week.

Isn't that the worst?  I had that happen to me incessantly during one game, ended up changing it to a super long string that I figured would never ever get used.  Still a pretty decent feature, even though I'm already used to sitting with the NES closeby and dont really need it. 
 

Great feature indeed, but personally I use it too much (intentionally). If I had to physically move to reset a game, I'd be more likely to give a non-optimal run a chance.

This worked for me the first time the fireball grabbed it, but not the second time on the same ball.

Can't break the damn 600k wall. I did make it to a cool mini game though, its a bitch to hit the ball into the safe lol

 

Do it as soon as it grabs it, and fast.. Works almost Every time. This game isn't the easiest, that ball goes through the ramps at HIGH SPEED for sure

^ exactly. Fast and rock both buttons. I've only had it not work if it's already at the bottom.
 

It should be pretty easy to beat 1.3 million points!
It is a low participation requirement!
