Hear me out guys, I'm not talking about full blown twitterification.

You know how people make those super long nested quote threads? They're more or less already functioning as "@username" callouts...you can get a PM when someone quotes you, and you can even choose to disable the alerts.

So why not just allow us to call out someone by @username'ing them?

When I quote, if I change the name manually will it notify them or the original poster? I don't think that'd take that long if it works

A few other forums I got to use the @ system and it really does seem great. Not getting useless emails is nice not too mention the ease of reading.
