These are the "For Display Only" case variants for these games.  They are not just Gamestop display cases with Gamestop logos on them.  The games inside are the Not For Resale demo versions of the games.  The DQ case has a little more wear than the Mario one but is also rarer and well worth the starting bid for the cartridge alone.  These are both different from the retail version, with DQ being a video loop and Mario being a playable demo. 

Oh, and if you're interested in more DS demo games, I have a lot listed at very good prices.  I have confirmed that some of these are listed on NA for more right now, and I know many of them have sold for much more than I'm pricing them at: http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/...

Cool stuff. How long is the mario demo?

I'll just answer now since the thread is still right near the top (I hope that's okay). The Mario demo is actually pretty long for a demo. You can play mini-games and sample quests from both Bowser and Mario/Luigi. It seems to have a lot of content compared to some other demo games I have seen. It is distinctly a demo though, and it mentions "demo version" repeatedly in the text.
