Nice Five Screw Ikari!!

Someone just bought it for $100.  Man am I glad I wandered into that store...
 

Walked into a thrift store like I do every week and headed straight to the kid's books first like I always do.  And every time I do, some part of me says "get to the video games before someone beats you to it."  And I never do because what are the odds that 5 seconds is going to matter?

Well I eventually walk over and some guy has just pulled a stack of NES games out of the display case.  Literally the 2nd time I've ever seen NES carts in the wild in this town.  I approached him and saw Stanley on the top and cursed my luck.  I tried to ask him if there was anything good but he obviously didn't want to look at them with me, like I was gonna mug him or something


So, oh well.  But what I assume was the same donation yielded a bunch of interesting strategy board games, which I bought.

I haven't beaten any of those damn SNES games, so maybe now I can turn things around.

And then I hit up a thrift store for the books


 

I never look for games anymore; no point when the area has dried up.  But I do look for books.  And what do you know, I found games.  A few bucks each at GW.  I was surprised to see PSOI&II is around $45
