This thing is called DUCk or DMG Universal CheKer. I'm not sure exactly what it is or does. Has anyone heard of or seen one before?
1/15 Came in today and the boards is marked (1989 Nintendo DMG-Duck Main-02)
Limbofunk- "I'm not really sure, I've seen one of these for the SNES before that looked quite similar. maybe check with ProtonX, I think he might have had one at some point."
ProtonX- "Wow- I have never seen anything quite like this. I have heard of devices like this- but never seen one. The closest I have seen was a similar style device that a playNtrade had for testing almost any systems controllers. This was likely used at something like a gamecrazy style repair faculty to test... I'm not even sure what it tests."
It's interesting and can't wait to try it out.

It's a ROM checksum testing machine... and the software may well be in a separate Famicom cartridge (not included).
UPDATE 7/24 Here isa NES CAT which is much like the DUCK.
