I ended up passing on it.
Did a little research and from what I understand, the TOOL came with the following items...
(quoted from another forum)

* 2 PS2 control pads
* 4 power leads (UK, US, EUR and AUS)
* DTL-T10000H console
* DTL-H20400 (40Gb external HDD for use with Tool)
* DTL-H10010 Development tool PC card
* Island blue memory card!
* 8 huge user manuals (V 6.0)
* RGB Euro AV cable
* 2 spare motor drives (Cylindrical metal things - what are they for???)
* PlayStation 2 SDK v 3.0 (includes Runtime Libraries 3.0.1, Hardware manuals V6.0, PlayStation 2 Technical reference, Technical Requirements checklist 2.4, Multistream Sound API 7.2, Network Analysis suite 1.0, Shell System 2.0, AProbe 1.1, Sulpha 1.1, QA Tool 2.4, VU Tools.
* Image Studio for PS2
* Performance analyser software for DTL-T15000
* Various other development support docs.

There are 2 models... DTL-T10000H and DTL-T10000

(Also quoted...)

The H means it's internet enabled (If you get the adaptor). You need to connect it to a PC to make use of it. Either get a network crossover cable or connect it via a switch. You will need to know it's network ID which should be on the info screen (so long as the packages are up to date)

If you go to a web browser and type in it's IP address you will be able to change the system time and things. You will need the root admin name and password which will probably be Administrator and Administrator (case sensitive)

You will then need the PC tools installed on your PC. From the PS2 device manager, you can download .elf files and run them or run disks by resetting the tool with the right reset parameters (2, 0x1a2 if I remember right)

EDIT: As for price, the last loose unit sold for $310...

I make to the shop and this is what i picked up:

PS2 TOOL console

and Xbox DEV Kit

I got the systems as-is because they tried them out and nothing happend.

Rightnow I plugged in the ps2 tool and it turns on for a bit then goes off.
makes a beep beep noise too

So anyone know what these could go for as-is if i can't get them to power on/work?
or any info on what items i need to use too.

The ps2 tool is - ntsc/pal made in japan
I also snagged this too which goes in the back of the tool kit
