The position of the dip switches shouldn't really matter.

First question, did you put it in the correct way (i.e. chips towards the back of the SNES)?

Yeah, I contacted and checked and it was being tested properly. The EPROMs were apparently uncovered prior to the addition of electrical tape so data corruption is also a possibility. Too bad that there is so little documentation out there about this particular board. It must have been replaced pretty quickly by (presumably) the 4PV5B-01 board. ]]>

Any idea what game it is? It probably doesn't boot because of the dipswitches - it's highly unlikely that they're supposed to be set to off for every single switch. Proto boards would include an instruction sheet but it's doubtful there's a scan on the net for that model PCB to fix the settings. Trying random combos could cause damage. The best solution would be send it to someone experienced to dump the chips and examine the contents. ]]>

Strange SHVC-4P5B-01 board. Doesn't boot up for me in my SNES. Don't really know what the dip switches are for.

I'll probably sell it as I have no use for a game I can't play. ]]>
