Okay I am prooooooooooooobably going to do that tonight.

You don't get them, but you get a chance to catch them. You get a certain number of premier balls to catch them with based on things like if your team controls the gym and what team does the most damage. Usually around 10-12 balls.

I've done a few raids, but usually just one a day. I've gotten one Ttar and saw one other pop up, but no one else showed up to help take it down :-\. I think I've soloed every level 1 and 2 raid pokemon. I've also gotten a Gengar and Snorlax. I have a short term goal to solo a Machamp. I've got three maxed out espeons that are all 95-97% IVs. Not sure if that'll be enough, but should be a good fight.

Anyone else been lucky with TMs? I've only gotten one of each so far and I think I've won 20 raids now.

Then I paid $0.99 and bought another raid pass to fight a Charizard. Missed the first group of people and had to beat it with 5 people. Phone had a few problems kicking me out. Happened to other people too. Took 3 tries to beat it with the smaller group. But I got 7 rare candy from it. Couldn't catch the Charizard though.

I'm hoping I can still get another daily pass for today since the one I used today was spun yesterday. We'll see!

Gyms: Tough to take down enemy ones now. Each victory only takes a few hundred CP from the poke. I took down a close to fully powered one in about 30ish minutes, but got pretty repetitive. Also really hard to get in them since there are only six spots. Berries go super fast now. You can feed up to 10 berries (I think) to your poke. I had a couple in a gym last night and there were basically on empty this morning. Feeding them 10 berries each brought their CPs up to about 1/3 full health. Giving them berries also give you a little bit of stardust. You only get 1 coin per hour which seems low and you collect when your poke is kicked out of the gym. Not sure if there is a max amount of time yet. Overall it looks like coins will be a lot more scarce (probably niantic wanting us to spend more $$$)

Raids: Open to players level 35+. You get one free raid pass per day. I got both of mine from spinning team-owned gyms, but not sure if that is the only way to get them. I did a raid yesterday - it was a level 3 Alakazam (24k CP). I was almost able to solo it, but didn't. You get 180 seconds to defeat it. If you fail, you can try again as many times as you want within an hour. However, you lose 5 seconds on the clock for every additional attempt. Looks like the lower level raids are solo-able.

Other notes: You can now buy bag upgrades up to 1500 spots. You can now spin gyms to get some items, which is a little nice benefit.

Overall, kind of excited about raids. Gyms I'm still undecided on, but leaning towards worse than before. I had hoped to get my ice badge and I ended up getting to maybe 145/200, and I've got another 10ish evolutions for ice Pokemon, but overall they just weren't as abundant as the fire types. Mainly I'm looking forward to greater diversity of catches again, and I really do hope that the gym changes end up resulting in greater Pokemon diversity in gyms as well. Maybe I can power-up some of my lesser-used 'mons like Alakazam or Umbreon
