this thread is awesome. anyway, i posted this because i had a guy who wants to buy it. i wanted to make sure i wasn't going to short myself, but that's apparently not going to be an issue. i sent him the photo album link so he can check it out before we meet up again (he's bought some other items from me). if he decides to pass i plenty of suggestions in here to consider i'm halfway interested in getting it graded to see how they would call it. i might get low score for that "shitty vga games" thread in the other forum. i'll keep everyone posted.
Awesome. You're being honest on the uncertainty of it's origins, and giving buyer a butt load of pics to view. You sir are a seller I'd like to buy from.

Remember, if it doesn't sell, and you want to open it. We're always here.

I got 10 bucks says everything is untouched inside if he opens it

lmao, haha this has become a gambling thread. I like this idea!

But seriously, I think he should open it and run the game and manual for fingerprints on the inside.

Is there any obvious way to tell if it has been resealed by looking at game and manual? If so I'd be willing to donate $5 or even a bit more to Lincoln to see if it's legit or not.

Of course... if Lincoln resealed himself of course he wouldn't admit that it's fake. However, I truly believe the OP has no reason to do such a thing.

So let's all come to a conclusion some good ways to tell right away if it's been opened when opened, and then let's open this bad boy.

I'm actually pretty excited for this!

Again, that looks normal to me.  It just looks like the top of the cardboard where the top is folded inside the box.  I just looked at my legit sealed copy of Link, and it looks like that.  Since the lid is folded inside the box, there is going to be that ridge of plain cardboard showing.

It may be normal. I don't have my collection with me currently to check. But I've just never noticed that before.

Also in response to your first post, that is definitely where the whitening would occur. I'm not trying to be an arguing douche. It's just where the cardboard bends. You can't get rid of the yellow color unless it's been flipped open before.

this pic looks 110% normal

Also, you can see the color of the original cardboard near the opening in several of the updated pics. None of the sealed games I've come across have I ever seen this, but then again... I've never run by such a beat up sealed game.

I'm still going with fake. But fake or not, it doesn't matter. All that matters is if the buyer/owner thinks it is.

admittedly that looks terrible although the OP is saying its glare.    Does look like whitening/reseal in that pic.
