Great job indeed, Bimmy.
It's awesome when our favorite games show up in these contests. I know I had my share of fun with Punch Out!.
Now I hope Rolling Thunder will show up here sometime.
Thanks Bea. You did awesome with Punch-Out. I've never seen anyone as good at that game as you are

Oh and I almost forgot to say: Awesome job Bimmy!
ETA: and yes, super fun game, wish I had more time to play it. And actually bugs in games are a lot of fun, metroid is a great example and I don't think I'd love it as much if it wasn't for all those little glitches!

Thanks Ace. I've always been really good at this game, as well as Double Dragon 2. They're 2 of my favorite NES games of all time. Maybe one day we'll have to do Double Dragon 2 for the contest

Wow, just tried the headbutt thing, comparing it to punching and kicking. It's extremely effective... over 3 times the points! I went through the first stage only kicking, only punching, and only headbutting. The results (I didn't write down the exact numbers):
Punching Only: 13,000-ish points
Kicking Only: 9,000-ish points
Headbutt Only: 34,000-ish points!

Bug 1 would have def been banned for this contest if it had been discovered, or maybe most of you already knew and assumed it was off limits. Also, what a buggy game! Sheesh. Reminds me of that card that comes with the game, notifying the player that the score may "blink" but that it's not a glitch... haha yeah but just about everything else in the game is!

Yeah, this is a pretty buggy game, but it's fun as hell I've had this game since I was a kid and it's one of my favorites. I knew about bug 1, but knew it would be off limits since we banned the Mission 2 point glitch with the bat and the Williams loop in the blue cave. First time I played through, I did nothing but kick. Then, on subsequent playthroughs, did a combination of punching and kicking. Tonight was when I tried the headbutting, but I only did it once. At that point, I was finally starting to get tired of the game.

You try to move, and you'll do the hair grab. ]]> Nesrulers contest presents: Double Dragon http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=31&threadid=33050 2010-05-16T23:10:07 -05.00 nesruler22 55
I had this game since I'm young, I knew a couple of bug in it, but not that score glitch in stage 2. That's funny. ]]>
