At least I'm pretty sure that's one of the two possible types of connectors.. 

I don't see many on Ebay right now..  I've seen them before but I haven't looked in a while...

one guy told me it was one of the inside chips that went bad when i had a similar problem ... if the case is flawless i suggest getting another snes and opening it up and replacing the shells ... the connectors and such may or may not work and it will set you back probably just as much .... then i'd sell the broken SNES on ebay make it like $5 or something to get it out of your house (at least that's what i did with mine and made sure they knew it was broke)
