If they finish making Mario kart 9 within the next 3 years, it will be on Switch, if not that depends if the Switch is still relevant 3+ years from now, in which case it will probably appear on both Switch and Switch 2. ]]>

No Nintendo system has ever had more than one Mario Kart, correct? Right, strict limit of one per customer, eh console/handheld.  But like I said, remakes don't count.

I highly doubt Mario Kart 9 comes out any time soon. 8D is still super popular.
But that's just a remake, that doesn't count.  Every console since the SNES and every handheld since the GBA had a Mario Kart...NO WAY will the Switch be any different...it's just a question of when.  After all aren't you as curious as I am about what Retro tracks they'll choose and what they and the new tracks will be like?

A remake of a game for a system that no one owned, its brand new to a lot of people. Well own it....and in fact am working on Wind Waker HD (and after that Twilight Princess HD) on it right now.  I guess you're saying I'm a "no one"?

I'm sure they'll have a Mario Party, Golf, Paper Mario, Mario and Luigi, 2D, 3D, and Mario Maker in the pipeline before that happens ]]>

I wouldn't say that it is going nowhere. They announced two games out of left field: Luigi's Mansion and Bowser's inside story.  You misunderstood me, I said 3DS isn't going anywhere to mean it's not ready to be retired or lose support anytime soon. ]]>

I wouldn't say that it is going nowhere. They announced two games out of left field: Luigi's Mansion and Bowser's inside story. However, I speculate that the luigi's mansion was part of a proof of concept for dark moon that got shelved. Fast forward to now they realize they have a half finished game so they finish it and release it for a lower cost. They also announced a bunch of 3ds games other than those two. So I'd like to believe it will stay relevant at least until Bowser's inside story releases.

I wouldn't say that it would be Nintendo's last true handheld. I think they will keep a budget system around like the 3ds (Which I think is still alive because a new 3ds xl is like $120) as opposed to the higher cost. I think the better question would be: With the success of the switch in mind, will the Wii U be Nintendo's last true dedicated home console?
