Wolves had so many setbacks but Splain pulled thru. MVP no doubt.

Doner came so close to stealing the whole thing. Nicely done.

Town? Well a couple of you tried.

Thanks for hosting Gloves. Very cool theme and story. Some of the mechaniacs could have been more clear and roles better balanced, but still a solid round. ]]>

Lol. I really wanted it to come down to everyone shouting at each other, meticulously analyzing each other's words, calling me out for badly lying through my teeth. but it never really happened.

It was fun though. It seemed like kind of a low-key game compared so some of the others I read thru. Especially at the end there. Hardly any discussion at all. I definitely didn't talk my way out of anything, everyone just vanished.

I wish we could have seen what some of the hidden mechanics were, but we didn't really get into the trading and collecting like I think we were supposed to. I would have pushed for it myself, but I had high-end repros that I thought people would be suspicious of, so I didn't talk about it much. And obviously I didn't encourage anyone to see if there was a way to inspect their carts to check for repros, because a few people had bought carts from me. But I'm curious.

Is there a graveyard thread?

Thanks Gloves!!

There is, but it's mostly me analyzing.   I can add you to it before I head to bed. ]]>

A darkness falls over the convention hall as the televisions flip from the usual ads and gaming news to a rather down-looking Gloves.

Hey all. It's been pretty quiet in here, and it's just not the upbeat environment I was hoping for...

Gloves points dejectedly at a pile of games on the floor in the hall, visible to those who remain.

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed, honestly. I had hoped to facilitate game trading and sales and collecting and all those fun things that I thought we all loved, but this...

All these repros...

All of the remaining booths' shelves fall under the heavy weight of many repros. How they got there is honestly a mystery to most of the remaining con-goers, but it's all irrelevant now; they are all that remains.

Are there ANY real games in there? I can't even tell anymore. I suppose it was inevitable really... the cheaper repro games were bound to take over one day.

Gloves lets out a heavy sigh and stares into the camera.

Just... go home.

*click*

The televisions power off, followed by the lights in the hall.

Boosted was Lynched.

They were: Lawyer (Town Alignment)

What would a convention be without a lawyer hanging around to make sure everyone gets their fair word in?

Every time a law-abiding citizen (townie) is removed from the convention for any reason, as long as you are present at the convention (alive), that townie will be permitted make a statement to the rest of the hall. They will be prompted upon their death to send me whatever statement they would like to be shared with the rest of the hall.

You win the game when all threats to the Town are eliminated.

Repro Makers Win.

With Boosted being Lynched, and the inevitable Night Kill (and bomb), the Repro Makers land a majority of the hall, drowning out the remaining legitimate collectors.

The remaining players were...

GoldenEyeGamer the Vanilla Collector

You’ve been waiting all year for this convention, and you’re totally ready to buy some games! You may be just a regular Joe with some pocket change, but hey, you’re in town to buy buy buy!

Each night you may choose a player to buy a game from. This will have some effect on the game, depending on the role of the person from whom you’re buying.

You win the game when all threats to the Town are eliminated.

TheToxieRules the Cleaning Lady

You’ve been hired on to keep the convention center clean, and sometimes that means picking up a mess during the day; you start to wish they had told you ahead of time that this was a 24/7 gig, but hey, work is work right? I’ve invented a super handy cleaning solution which actually protects the booths from repro carts, it’s really neat; just spray the booth with the bottle I’ve provided to you and any repro carts that come into contact with the shelving will simply dissolve, no worries!

If a repro cart is found in a player’s collection and the hall is going to evict them, you may choose to sweep the cart under the rug and all shall be forgiven!

You win the game when all threats to the Town are eliminated.

Splain the Scummy Salesman

You’re a real dastardly devil, and man you got the hookups. If you make the Repro Makers’ night kill, you will additionally be able to place a repro cart into another player’s collection. This cart will be found by town at the start of the day, and if it’s not purged by the end of the day that player will be kicked out of the convention (killed).

You win the game when the Repro Makers have a majority of the booths at the convention.
