Maybe we can infer the kind of f*ck up this board is composed of?

Well, from the number of people that voted "not at all" to any of them, I think we can say that there are quite a few people either in denial or just lacking self-awareness

They each distill out a fairly specific trait, that in isolation becomes corrupted and horrible, even though they're the "good guys". ]]>

Instructions: For each Watchman, state how well do you agree with their point of view and attitude towards life. In your post, detail which things do you agree with each Watchman, along with your response in the poll. I will write/copy each character's main personality traits and a significant quote (either from the movie or the comics) to help you decide:

Rorschach: Uncompromising on his quest for justice, has a black and white view on the world's affairs. He tends to be very conservative in his values, and though he doesn't have any faith in humanity, he has no choice but to put an end to injustice, no strings attached. Paranoid at times, he won't trust anyone very much.

"Soon there will be war. Millions will burn. Millions will perish in sickness and misery. Why does one death matter against so many? Because there is good and there is evil, and evil must be punished. Even in the face of Armageddon I shall not compromise in this. But there are so many deserving of retribution ... and there is so little time."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nite Owl II: A romantic justice bringer. He idolizes heros from the past, and wants to emulate their bravery and goodness. Classic heroism. Very nostalgic, roots for adventure. Not so uncompromising as Rorschach at the end, hasn't abandoned pragmatism.

"You haven't idealized mankind, you've...you've deformed it! You mutilated it. That's your legacy. That's the real practical joke."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dr. Manhattan: Almost completely nihilistic, feels detached from humanity more and more. He doesn't see humanity changing, everything is predetermined for him. Reason is everything for him, and the workings of nature amaze him.

"A live body and a dead body contain the same number of particles. Structurally, there's no discernible difference. Life and death are unquantifiable abstracts. Why should I be concerned?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ozymandias: An elitist, thinks its the work of the elite to solve the problems of the world. Completely pragmatist. One of his main interests is to leave a mark on the world through great deeds. Wants to prove his worthiness to himself. Unity of the world is his goal. Has liberal values.

"Thus began my path to conquest..conquest not of men. But of evil's that beset them."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Comedian: He believes that humans are savage in nature, and that civilization can never be more than an idea. He therefore chooses to become a mockery of society. In part nihilistic, and hedonistic. He lets his (freudian) ego drive his actions.

"It don't matter squat because inside thirty years the nukes are gonna be flyin' like maybugs...and then Ozzy here is gonna be the smartest man on the cinder."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's all, I didn't include Silk Spectre because I couldn't figure out her more deeply than "regretful towards her mother for making her being a superhero"
