Rorschach: Uncompromising on his quest for justice, has a black and white view on the world's affairs. He tends to be very conservative in his values, and though he doesn't have any faith in humanity, he has no choice but to put an end to injustice, no strings attached. Paranoid at times, he won't trust anyone very much.

Dr. Manhattan: Almost completely nihilistic, feels detached from humanity more and more. He doesn't see humanity changing, everything is predetermined for him. Reason is everything for him, and the workings of nature amaze him.

"A live body and a dead body contain the same number of particles. Structurally, there's no discernible difference. Life and death are unquantifiable abstracts. Why should I be concerned?"

Ozymandias: An elitist, thinks its the work of the elite to solve the problems of the world. Completely pragmatist. One of his main interests is to leave a mark on the world through great deeds. Wants to prove his worthiness to himself. Unity of the world is his goal. Has liberal values.

The Comedian: He believes that humans are savage in nature, and that civilization can never be more than an idea. He therefore chooses to become a mockery of society. In part nihilistic, and hedonistic. He lets his (freudian) ego drive his actions.
