Spoilers ahead, mind you...

The war is in full swing and Negan is becoming the consistently best character in the book. Rick has gone from hero to whackjob to unlikable to reluctant hero, all the while Negan seems to be the voice of reason. It makes me kind of sad that the show gets so much attention yet the comic is just disregarded by most. I have no idea where this arc is headed but after the issue that came out this week, I am rooting for Negan. Or Dwight. That guy has some serious potential. ]]>

I picked this up from a locale thrift store for $13 a little while ago.

ah ok. been to newbury comics last week and they were 14,98$ a piece. no idea what was included but they didnt have #1 so i didnt buy any.

I'm not sure what the prices would be in Canada but on Amazon you can pick up both Compendiums (each one collecting 48 issues) for roughly $25 USD apiece so that's give you the first 96 issues. Seeing as the series is about to hit issue 113 in a week and a half that's a pretty good deal if I may say so myself. It's worth looking into if you don't want to spend a lot of money on something you're unsure about whether or not you'll dig it. ]]>

The collected editions (containing six issues apiece) are roughly $15 apiece whereas the individual issues are $2.99.

This is probably my mistake here so I should mention that I have a habit of calling comic books either comics or books, but I'll make a point not to do that if I can help it. Sorry about that!

On the subject of books though, there are two novels that deal with the Governor and Woodbury. I haven't read them myself so I can't comment on them.
yeah, my bad. i meant the hardcover collected editions. im up to volume 8 on those, which means ive read up to issue #96 of the comics.

i have both of the novels about the Governor & Woodbury. they are excellent. both of them blew me away, and this was after i already had been blown away several times by the comics. READ THEM.
