That would make sense if that were true but every source online says November 92. Like I said other LS carts have the old back as well so it was probably leftovers.

Samson came out as they were transferring between back labels. I think it was May of 1992?

Im positive its not a swap and it makes sense for the other sammies like mine. The way the box wrapping was torn wouldn't be enough to get the cart or inserts out. Either way its not hard to get a new back with the 07 stamp from another game, my gargoyles quest ii has one so a bit of a moot point. Just kind of interesting

Didn’t even realize it but it does have texture compared to my other black dust covers. Wow what a rabbit hole lol

Ah, makes sense. Ya my samson is missing a home for the moment Never in a rush for any of the big things but cant pass up a deal when it comes along for the right price. Still need to knock off a few heavy box / manuals but down to like...last 150ish

Side note, had to help a buddy authenticate sealed game he picked up locally (was an N64 one) he got it for dirt cheap but the game was resealed and someone had taken the game / manual out
