Exactly. It's pretty much been a private-sale-only item for a while, with very few (if any) open auctions going their full duration.

but I call shenanigans. I bought my sealed one for 710 and that was only maybe 4 tops 5 years ago and a loose one sold the month before for about 550 if I recall. At the time people thought 710 was "crazy".

Yeah, I agree. This one goes all over the map depending on who's searching for it at any given time. $500-1000 loose, it's a hell of a price range to be sure. I think Sparky may be confusing the ones listed at a grand for ones that have sold
