Thought so. Pink ones aren't as common, but I don't think they're worth much more. Heck, even the PC version with the dino graphics library (It's the sonic game with sonic doing the spin attack on the disc.) isn't worth much, and it's much more difficult to find. 

I'm still thinking how the guy got $500. Maybe he's seen a new mint CDX, seen what the used CDXs go for, and did some simple subtraction?
