They can't require additional paypal fees to cover the cost after the deal is already made, but there is nothing wrong with pricing an item already high enough extra to cover the charge before the deal is made. A seller can mark up an item as high as they want. It's up to a buyer to determine whether it is still a good deal or not. How else are people supposed to break even?

Your fix it Felix auctions would just about cover this.

Last day bump.  Ends at 10 tonight.

Oh, the monetary aspect isn't an issue for me, but whether it would actually get used anytime soon or just sit there collecting dust is. I don't want to drop $500 on something that I wouldn't use for 6+ months, ya know? Being in school full time and work full time kills a lot of spare time I have.
I know the feeling.  I am working and in school full time too and even have a baby on the way.   That's why the one I am keeping is still sealed too.  That and the wii u is taking most of what little free time I have.

Sure, you don't get much extra, but you do get a "special" model that absolutely will not be available for long (if you can even find one right now.

Plus the black box is cooler.

Honestly, if I had a sealed Day One Edition, I'd try to get closer to $600 for it. Good luck OP! ]]>

This is exactly what I observed at 12/17 at my local Best Buy.  A gigantic stock of Green Xbox Ones, but they had two Day Ones at the top of the stack (which were gone the next day when I went back to check in again).

Just seems like it is more of a "Month One" than "Day One" thing.  As I said, Wal-Mart restocked their Day One HOliday bundle ($640ish with 2 games) about two weeks before Xmas as well.

I know because I had deal alerts set up and was in the market for a Day One console in early December.  It just wasn't as hard to find as I thought it would be.

Controller does look cool though ]]>

The Day One Editions sold out on day one, and were never restocked.  Yes it is only a bunch of text on the controller and a special achievement.  These controllers alone have been selling for almost $100 on ebay.

To be fair, this isn't true.  Wal-Mart and Best Buy restocked Day One editions at least 2 or 3 times, I saw 2 Day One editions on the floor of Best Buy as late as the week before Christmas.

As a fellow Day One owner, I agree will be "limited" down the road, but they aren't hard to find now at all.  Just to clear up any misconceptions here.

Microsoft only made one shipment of them. After that they were not producing anymore.  It's possible that some retailers intentionally held some back or more likely people returned them or never picked up their preorders.

i am not trying to pitch this thing as super rare or anything but if someone was going to be getting one anyway then they might as well get this one since it will be "rarer" ]]>

Those two units could have been pre-orders that were not picked up.

I was at Toys R Us on Launch Day and they had 0 day one editions.  In my area, Janesville Wisconsin, I never saw a Day one system on the shelf at all.  Maybe it is regional.

Sure you can find them on ebay or CL, but I have personally never witnessed a day one edition in a retail setting.

I felt the need to reply to your comment, becuase it seems like you were trying to make me out to be a craigslist scammer, Last One Rare Hurry, etc.
