Knowing it was the rom for sure, I was able to find another rom that would work. Fifth time was the charm. I wonder if the oversized header was due to putting the whole title in. ]]>

I did now. Thanks for the recomendation. It was not able to split the file, but it give me more information about what was wrong. It turns out that the file had too big of a header.
