Dude, I have been thinking of a scene in that movie for the past I dunno how many years...
I saw it when I was like 3 and it was where he was showing that sub the class and there was blood everywhere. That scene and the above pictured has been imprinted in my brain for the past 23 years and I never forgot it. I just found that scene on youtube and whats weird is I'm a little freaked out. I don't think it's from the actual effects, rather from the recalled fear and disturbance I felt when I was that young.  
 
I was really into horror movies as a kid, so I kinda related to Dave and Chainsaw. It really  is one of favorite comedies of the 80's but I forget about it because I don't actually own the movie.
