I think I might be able to do better than this, but I'll have to get pretty lucky on my combos. ]]>

Holy shit, I had two amazing combos back to back that I had to photograph the progression of and pausing to get photos just in case.

Starting with 30,420

Then 55,260

Finally ending with 57,660 (first image).  The colums were falling insanely fast at Level 9. ]]>

Snap, great score! I updated mine a bit, but it's not even close. You're so right re: getting the photo, too. So frustrating. I had at least 2-3 runs that were higher than my current post, but I wasn't fast enough with my phone; one time, the cat laid on it (grr). The Everdrive has a tiny pause button, but there's not enough time to run to the console, unless I physically move the console closer to my seat, ha.

It's a fun game to kind of zone out to, for sure. Definitely gives me the same feeling as playing original NES Tetris, which I love. I'd played the Genesis version of Columns once or twice. I'll be revisiting it this week, too. Similarly, I don't think I'll ever be a whiz at the game, but it's groovy to play regardless.

My score came from an extremely fortunate huge combo. I've had a couple scores over 30k since then, but I doubt I'll be able to do better.

And the game becomes unplayably fast once you're at around stage 7.
